Good to know. My crack about Gilman/Dartmouth was probably a little harsh. I passed the entrance exam at Gilman at my Dad's insistence but decided I liked going to school with the fairer sex. Speaking of the fairer sex, this girl was a hero of the left a few days ago. Now, not so much.MDlaxfan76 wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 8:51 amIt was indeed said in jest, however, PB has made repeated comments about Ron's wife's looks.get it to x wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 8:32 amSigh. Beneath a Gilman/Dartmouth man. If you can't refute the facts, argue sexual attraction? Really? I hope this was said in jest, but lacking an emoji I can't tell.MDlaxfan76 wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 8:27 amMDlaxfan76 wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 10:38 am PB either has a hard on for Ron or perhaps his wife, whose looks he has repeatedly complimented.
Hard to explain otherwise, except for his all in all the time Red team partisan trolling.
He definitely has a proverbial "hard-on" for Ron. Maybe he's his cousin, maybe Ron stroked him some contracts, I really don't know.
Of course, it also could be entirely Red Team trolling and not personal at all.
On "refute the facts", we've repeatedly taken exception to PB's extreme spin re Ron, and have attempted to reasonably address some of the worst of that spin. I've been particularly clear that I've been rooting for Florida to do well in the management of this problem. Positive actions have been applauded, mistakes (IMO) have been challenged.
But PB will stand for zero critique.
And, yeah, there's a quite serious concern that DeSantis is trying to quash data, spin data, to try to manage public perception of his performance instead of clear transparency. Maybe we're overly suspicious about that given his apparent affinity for Trump, who clearly lies at every turn, attempts to suppress information, attacks those who ask difficult, but important, questions. But Ron appears to be too willing to go the same path.
Nevertheless, I'm still rooting for Florida to do well!
However, the biggest mistake these Trumpist folks are making is to not model for their citizens the best personal practices necessary to actually move the country forward without major rebound in infections and deaths. This is a long distance race, not a sprint, and they would be helping their citizens far more by projecting the seriousness of the ongoing challenge rather than preening in short term 'success' as people die.
