Don't spike that football so soon, a fan. My bitcoin pricing tells me that fiat currencies were never the answer, but mass delusion is a powerful drug. Let's see in 20 years.
Re: The Nation's Financial Condition
What are you talking about?
In what world would borrowing $4 trillion dollars and pumping it through the economy have zero effect on said economy?
If it had no effect....why would anyone borrow that money?

$2,000 Per Person Plus $2,000 Per Child: Monthly Economic Crisis Support Act Would Send Payments To Over 90% Of Americans
"Senators Kamala Harris (D-CA), Bernie Sanders (I-VT), and Ed Markey (D-MA) have released the Monthly Economic Crisis Support Act. This act would send a monthly $2,000 payment to individuals who make less than $100,000 a year but it provides an additional $2,000 per child for up to three children per family.
"The bill also would make these payments retroactive to March and they would continue for three months after when the Health and Human Services Department declared the public health emergency has ended."
~$300B per month cost. Magic 8 Ball says chances of passing are: "Very doubtful"

I thought you were a staunch conservative that was concerned about spending, budgets, and US debt? And, this has the potential to expand that lower class of earners that suck off the gov't teet...unless maybe we are truly going to try an all out socialist experiment.MDlaxfan76 wrote: ↑Fri May 08, 2020 1:30 pmGet'er done...in the long run, way smarter.holmes435 wrote: ↑Fri May 08, 2020 1:27 pm Paging a fan

This would be a far more efficient (conservative!) way to keep people afloat in a short term crisis than the massive, more wasteful ways we're spending now, and will undoubtedly have to continue to spend going forward.
As an actual conservative, I'm looking for efficiency and effectiveness, not ideological class warfare.

A group of restaurant industry professionals and representatives have gotten together to send Mayor Michael Hancock a message: We'll need more outdoor seating in order to survive.
The group, which includes the directors of business improvement districts along Colfax Avenue and Federal Boulevard as well as many restaurant owners, has sent a letter to Mayor Hancock urging the city's newly formed Economic Relief and Recovery Committee to come up with a plan to allow restaurants and bars to expand seating and liquor licenses onto sidewalks, parking lots and, in some cases, even closed-off streets and alleys once restaurants are allowed to reopen.

For a guy who has tried to erase President Obama's legacy at every possible turn, and was cheered on by the r's, Trump reached a major milestone yesterday.
All those jobs President Obama created are gone.
