WOO-HOO! I got my $1,200 check yesterday. In these times I feel very fortunate to not have any financial liabilities. How cruel it is for so many Americans to be one and done with financial aid and left holding the bag.

Illinois first to file Ch 11 or whatever the equivalent is for a state. Restore sanity to public employee pensions and the soaring property taxes that pays for the lunacy.

My 'source' might be a tad better than your online search engines; yesterday, I called two restaurant owner buddies of mine for a lunch AND dinner reservation for today.
Hmm. Which source of investigation has the smaller error in its result?
I bookmarked you Red.

I have eaten at a restaurant now for two straight days, overtipping my waitress as one should do.
The economies of the red states will open up and rally far faster than blue states because red states recognize that the danger of Covid is mostly nursing homes and certain unique environments like meat processing plants. No need for everyone to sit down.
Back to work!!!

More than 33 million Americans have filed for unemployment benefits since the economy was largely shut down — including 3.2 million in the past week, the Labor Department announced Thursday morning.

P B hero mnuchin engages aged rock star on twitter!
Why does mnuchin post Liberian Flag????
https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2 ... ronavirus/
But just when it seemed like things couldn’t possibly get any weirder, Wednesday night rolled around with a Twitter feud no one could have anticipated: Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose vs. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.

Axl Rose and Steven Mnuchin are apparently fighting on Twitter. I don't think anyone saw that one coming.

Rose threw down the gauntlet shortly before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when he hopped on his seldom-used Twitter account and declared to his 1.2 million followers, without context, “Whatever anyone may have previously thought of Steve Mnuchin he’s officially an a--hole.”
“It’s official!” tweeted the rock star, who is a prominent critic of President Trump.
Then, in a move that prompted collective surprise, Mnuchin hit back.
“What have you done for the country lately?” he tweeted, tacking what appeared to be an emoji of the United States flag to the end of his response.
Upon closer examination, however, eagle-eyed social media users noticed that Mnuchin had actually used an icon of the flag of Liberia, which is nearly identical to the American flag except instead of 50 stars it has only one. The original tweet was deleted and replaced with one using the correct flag, but not before numerous images had been taken.

The only heroism I see in Mnuchin is he married the hottest piece of Scottish arse any one human is entitled to in a life. Outside that, I actually don't know anything about the guy.
I'm impressed however when two distinctly different humans have Twitter engagement.
So far as Axl, strange dude...

I am always amazed at how much free time they all have during an effing pandemic to engage in such stupid and pointless activities especially with an irrelevant over the hill rock has-been no less.
Not to worry thought, Jared and his pals are apparently going to be in charge of re-opening. Can't wait for that FUBAR, too.

A bull market requires hands-off from politicians. A pandemic requires hands-on.
Guess what happens to markets when politicians are hands-on?

Oh totally. That had ZERO effect on the US economy.
