Sadly, all the 3 have been hanging on by a thread for years.

Well, yes.

This is why I wrote back in March that they need to cut big checks NOW, BEFORE all the damage starts to snowball.

So back to what I wrote: unemployment is 20%+ and rising because Trump and Congress screwed up the bailouts. They CHOSE to let this happen.
No it is Fauci's fault.
Yup....it is. He and his co-horts have received BILLIONS and BILLIONS.....for years and years. Report after report. study after study......recommendations after recommendations. The Docs and admins have floated down the lazy river money grab for decades.

Apparently, we can go online and find out how many neo angle shower bases, or framing gun, the box store near you has in stock. Same for ordering t-shirts, hats, etc. They all use computers.

Hospitals? They can't even keep ER crash carts properly stocked.

You are correct, hospital supply chains are way cool.....very cool.......very good. Why are you even on this website? Chime in quips? Kind of sad. Every day, all day. You should ingest some mary jane, only, that's NOT essential in some states, it is in others.

Now you are catching on.

ROBUST.....is all in the eyes of the brain dead. EVENT 201 sure put a marker on what ROBUST means, in regards to PPE inventory.

Define "robuds" robustness, in your terms ? Probably smoke 4-8 grams every day.....depending. For others, that would last a month....or more.

Robus BRO-buds.

A friend held a "coming out" party last fall.....it was amazing the people that you THOUGHT would never smoke/edible......3 Doctors were filled with glee. Interesting........no one was obese. fact.

not many calories in Uncle Fatty's chocolate edibles, but BOY.........does it provide some fun.

b/c discussing tanins, clarity, head, hops, citrus, pine......is SO adult. SO grown up.

The US Treasury is set to announce a record group of debt sales, including the reintroduction of 20-year bonds for the first time since 1986. This is just the start; debt sales need to keep rising to plug what’s set to be the biggest US deficit in history.

Fed Debt held by public as a % of GDP will be over 108% next year. Highest ever, since 106% during the Great Depression.

Look for unemployment to be near 16% for 2nd quarter 2020.

Show us where, in CU88's post, he refers to the issue being related to the virus....misleading. He even got you.

I read the bloody article, youth.
Of course that's what is driving the enormity of this escalation.

That said, we were already driving record deficits pre pandemic.
But that's not why this huge escalation is happening.

Now, if you want to make this partisan, there's a very strong argument that the magnitude of financial damage was not necessary had the medical/social response been swifter, earlier. Likewise, a swifter, stronger response to the economic challenge would have helped. Stock buybacks are happening...oops.

Moving forward, it is super important that the medical challenge is handled well...in addition to supplies, testing, and therapy/vaccine, a huge driver of that success will be social response...way too many people are acting like idiots right now, encouraged by certain forces including the POTUS. Flaunting social distancing, no masks, etc. We need people to help this process of getting back to work and play...safely.

And it is super important that money is spent well in the right ways to address the financial calamity. It really matters.

Else the numbers will be way, way bigger.

This is my url, it didn't open in a separate tab: ...bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-05-03/treasury-s-4-trillion-funding-task-signals-record-auction-slate

ok, I forced it to open in another tab, got Much Has. cut off there. Again, so what?

Citizens For Ethics latest on recent bailout legislation and how Trump/Kushner companies stand to benefit greatly from the tax changes.

https://www.citizensforethics.org/two-t ... -millions/

Two Tax Changes Buried in the CARES Act Could Save Trump and Kushner Companies Millions

"Two little-noticed provisions of the recently-passed Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act of 2020 (the CARES Act) could allow for an unprecedented windfall for President Trump’s business interests—and the business interests of his son-in-law and senior advisor Jared Kushner.

While most of the coverage of the CARES Act has centered on the multi-billion dollar lending program for small businesses, $1,200 checks for individuals, and a multiple-trillion dollar injection of credit into the financial markets, there are two tax breaks buried deep in the bill which could be massive giveaways to the Trump Organization and Kushner Companies. And while Democrats in Congress fought to include conflict of interest protections to prevent Trump and his immediate family from getting Federal Reserve loans, those restrictions do not apply to these tax changes, which directly benefit billionaire real estate magnates.

The first of these tax breaks is a provision that completely changes how companies are allowed to use their financial losses. Previously, under the 2018 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), net operating losses (NOL) were subject to a taxable-income limitation, and could not be carried back to reduce income (and thus to reduce taxes) in a prior tax year. The TCJA eliminated all NOL carryback (two year carryback) and put an 80% cap on the amount NOL can reduce your tax burden in the future. In fact, the restriction on how firms use their net operating losses was one of the few features of the 2018 TCJA that actually raised federal revenues. The CARES Act changes all of that."

Would be interested in Jim Malone and farfromgeneva's take on this.

Those were a result of self inflected white collar corrupt bankers, lenders, etc., and this, well....out of our hands, unless you buy into the intentional global reset "tin foil" theory. Now if these numbers were a resultant of this admin alone, w/o any pandemic...well, I'd be throwing stones right beside CU88, while tipsily falling backwards after each swig of rye. :D

Now if you were referring to Rushs' comment....that was a basis on political agenda. But I do get your point...#taats. ;)

My point is simply, partisans throw stones at their opponents.

The numbers, as you very well know, were horrible before the pandemic. Record deficit. And corporate tax receipts fell off a cliff.

We all know that Trump and Republicans are THRILLED because the virus bailouts give them full cover for the reckless spending & taxation policies of the past three years. So their defenders will claim the financial mess is all about the virus.

I'm not fooled by this nonsense.

But at the same time? Trump and Congress are doing the best they can to fix things for Americans in terms of bailouts. IMHO, as I have said, they have done a pretty lousy job.

But you can't point to a bill from Pelosi that wasn't passed by the Senate and say that "the Dems would do a better job". So you don't get to blame Trump, while not blaming Nancy and the Dems. They're all millionaires, and don't understand how economies work.
