Transfer Portal
Re: Transfer Portal
If it says University it probably has a grad school. If it says College it likely doesn’t but not always the case. See Lynchburg W&L Salisbury in DIII
Re: Transfer Portal
Colgate has more seniors in the portal than any other school. If a fifth year isn't an option for the guys that are already part of the program I don't see new guys coming in. Plus, no grad transfers in Patriot League.

Re: Transfer Portal
Seahawk is right - but I wasn't aware that Colgate had a grad school. It's just a self-proclaimed small program in Master of Arts in Teaching, not a full blown grad program like you'd normally have in a University.CreaseLightning wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2020 10:41 am https://www.colgate.edu/academics/depar ... s-teaching
Many Colgate students choose to pursue a higher degree after graduating from Colgate. At Colgate, there is a small Master of Arts in Teaching program, but otherwise it is an undergraduate institution.

Elsewhere, former @jhumenslacrosse midfielder Matt Stagnitta is the latest transfer to land at @JAX_MLAX. Stagnitta appeared in 25 career games for the Blue Jays, including 4 this year. He recorded 2 goals in his career, all as a junior in 2019.

Re: Transfer Portal
Does anyone have some insight on whether any big-time schools have made any official offers yet? I understand there are a lot of moving parts to gain enrollment in a graduate program, it clearly is not going to happen overnight.

Maryland wants them all.
A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.

Re: Transfer Portal
Madronic from Harvard is an interesting name to see. He originally committed to Brown, then flipped to Cornell then flipped again to Harvard. Now he appears to be heading to a new destination.

Re: Transfer Portal
One of the realities of the transfer portal is some of these players will not necessarily find takers of their services. Think about it if you are a Head Coach and you have a full class of freshmen coming in and unless you are a real difference maker like Michael Sowers for example, some players are not worth the risk to the locker room.....
Re: Transfer Portal
The report on Madronic is that he entered the portal as a 2023 grad student, so finish out Harvard and then look to play an additional year. Probably gauging interest so that he can form a plan and structure the rest of his undergrad to align with what he wants to do for grad school. Shocking that a Harvard guy would have a smart idea like that.
