There is an awful lot of hype, far more than is warranted associated with this, on both sides of the debate.
That's fine, but that didn't keep you from discussing and criticizing Obama every day for 8 years. No one gave you grief when you did that, and say "why are you doing this? He's not going to be removed from office you know?"
How dare you!
From what I read - and much of the data is preliminary, the death rates are higher than the flu (across all sorts of age groups), and lower than the original SARS event. While comorbidities (complicating health issues) make the death rate higher for those patients - this disease can infect the healthiest as well, and while the death rate for a very healthy person is quite a bit lower than one who is not, the CV-19 infection can be quite damaging to those who survive. Heart and lung issues (damage, and maybe permanent damage) both have been seen in recovered patients.runrussellrun wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2020 8:25 pm (stuff omitted)
V-19? Don't want to gripe, but what percentage of healthy US citizens are dying from this? Compared to to other SARS events? The 1918 flu, had every reason to freak out. But, you still could be with your child, 100 years ago. As bad as it was. I truly do not know. Did they protocol prohibit your, in 1918, from attending to a dying loved on. Skin on skin. Breathing the same air. As bad as it was, did this happen?

We talk about...and criticize.... our leaders and our government here.
Do you think criticism will shut off for Biden, if he wins?
I sure don't.

Trump Administration Officials Warned Against Halting Funding to WHO, Leaked Memo Shows
A draft State Department memo says the move would “cede ground” to China and hobble the global response to the coronavirus pandemic.
An internal memorandum written by U.S. officials and addressed to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo warns that cutting funding to the World Health Organization, as President Donald Trump said he would do Tuesday, would erode America’s global standing, threaten U.S. lives and hobble global efforts to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
The memo, which was prepared before Trump’s Rose Garden announcement, was written by officials within the State Department’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs and includes a detailed list of how U.S. funding to the WHO helps countries in the Middle East control the pandemic.
A draft version of the memo, which was labeled “Sensitive But Unclassified” and was titled “Information Memo for the Secretary,” was seen by ProPublica.
it's happy hour, bring on the tRump bashing. You know, you dont have to watch it.....
Nothing wrong with a audit, and I am sure that they are done, but maybe not best to do so in the middle of a Pandemic?
And I should have believed Mexico would build that wall.
Oh, I'm quite certain DocB will come up with some nutty slur for you....
