Anyone see the glaring irony of Democrat governors and mayors going full fascist in their response to Covid (is it really a response to Covid?) versus the reluctance on the part of Republicans to force people to perform as demanded but be the ones called ‘fascists’? Wondering if locals here like Brook and JHU recognize the irony? You realize how difficult it’ll be to get Democrats to release fascist control now that they’ve gotten a taste for it? A vampire after first blood doesn’t just give up, boys.

The latest birdbrain governor who can’t walk and chew gum at the same time without letting her little Adolf slip show is this dingbat Whitmer of Michigan. She’s changed her rules almost every day, causing no uncertain anger among the Wolverines. National media lap her up cause Orange Man Bad or whatever. Our media are total clowns.

Yup. See my post above. Democrats will always be our resident fascists, demanding you do anything to satisfy their lust for obedience. Like I say, defeat them with everything you got.

Washington Post.

"Administration officials say the White House has made a deliberate political calculation that it will better serve Trump’s interest to put the onus on governors — not the federal government — to figure out how to move ahead."

Here’s why it’s up to King Andy. Trump’s awol again. Just a cheerleader.

Gross...but I bet DOC was enthralled, as he rubbed his sweaty palms together in an alternating fashion, eyes burning from not blinking, anticipating Rachel's forced emotional tear of display indicating both her empathy for all people and yet the disdain for mr. man of orange. I can almost hear the belly snicker as he anticipates his next post of incremented CV-19 numbers in order scratch his #OrangeManBad TDS.... [for effect]

It’s a total death cult. These people are doomed and don’t realize it. It never ceases to amuse me that the self titled smart ones are actually the ones being left behind in life.

"President Donald Trump is treating life-saving medical equipment as emoluments he can dole out as favors to loyalists. It’s the worst imaginable form of corruption — playing political games with lives."

Denver Post editors

My lane is Trump should resign and let Pence handle this.

Why do you keep blaming Trump...when he keeps deferring responsibilities to those smarter than him. Seems counter intuitive to what you project.

wow...check out the rightwing sneerfest going on in here this morning. How much farther along the "back to normal" curve would we be today with just a modicum of competence at the federal level? I think these folks are getting warmed up for another extended stay in the minority...

On this Holy Weekend, I sincerely encourage you to find strength, maybe even through prayer if it is fitting. Fear can be a good thing, however.....it can also trap you into negativity. Be well Diss.

All news outlets are claiming the US daily death rate has reached a peak. Strange we had a 6+ sigma increase in daily deaths yesterday off of what looked like a "shoulder" being signaled over the previous 3 days at 1925 +/- 16. I think we need to wait a little to call it "the US has peaked".

The "minority" according to disslaxx is controlling 30 of 50 state legislatures (plus really Nebraska but they call it 'bipartisan'), a majority of governorships, the Senate, in essence the SCOTUS, and of course Orange Man Bad the Presidency.

The good news is you control: Illinois, Connecticut, New Jersey, NY, and CA! All the states that are technically insolvent today.

Those of us here in King Andy's little tyrannical kingdom will all just have to wait and see how much freedom King Andy will allow us. Just don't try to launch your row boat or it's off with your head peasant.

Cradle, I’ll be up there in a couple weeks, lucky for me I can launch my boat from my lawn/shoreline. Plus I don’t have to worry about the Sheriff’s marine division guys, they spend all their time on Canandaigua lake. ;)

I don't care if he is a physician - the moment he talks about "protective herd immunity" he is going for a solution that will kill a lot of people - because to get to herd immunity you need about 65% (or more) of the population to get the disease in absence of a vaccine. That is a whale of a lot of deaths that are preventable.

I have not. I looked and didn't see much. I saw him on tv and assumed he'd have a website of some sort. Struck me as a very intelligent guy, likely a Democrat based on what he was saying, but he was incredibly nuanced and level-headed. His whole thesis was we will be back working by May 15th at the latest.
