Trump would be called a liar for trying to conceal it from the public.
How was FDR's messaging on the internment camps ?
Not just FDR. Literally all presidents lie. Most every, if not every, politician lies. It's just a reality of the industry. With this said, Trump's lying is not like most anything we've seen before. Certainly in my life time. Politicians have had bigger lies. but in terms of how blatant the lies are and how often they're shared, Trump is off the charts.
The "media hid FDR's paralysis"????
BS.

There was NO ONE who didn't know of FDR's physical issue.
The degree of pain he was in, probably not, but absolutely everyone knew he was in a wheel chair.

Maybe a coffee filter?
Who knows -- couldn't hurt I guess.

But the thing proven to be best is a HEPA certified bag for your vaccum cleaner. If you have or can find one.

Definition: A “HEPA” Filter is a High Efficiency Particulate Air Filter. It is made from specially woven and treated fibers that filter very tiny particles out of the air. Many vacuum cleaners use HEPA Filter bags and these are what we will take apart and use for our masks.

NOT ANY VACUUM BAG WILL DO. Look for the HEPA label, stating that it is 99.97% effective for particles up to 0.3 microns. Bags that claim to filter out allergens are not suitable, as dust and pollen particles are way bigger than viruses.

painfully so...somehow the only "core principle" that matters to Trump cultists is loyalty to Trump.

apparently that's a "principle"...anyone who opposes Trump, especially an actual life-long R, is a "unprincipled opportunist"...got it

Same for higher end Air/Furnace Filters. I would advise inserting the product inside a sleeve of cloth, just to be safe(er).

on the mask question, if your purpose is solely to prevent dispersion of droplets, anything is better than nothing.

And really no excuse for not at least trying to reduce dispersion.

But to protect oneself, best to use a well fitting mask designed to filter out low level particulate. Very important if in a high risk situation with a likelihood of exposure.

The mistake that was made for the past 8 weeks has been telling people not to wear masks at all because of the concern that would reduce supply for those most at risk, health care workers and first responders.

We certainly should have ramped up production fast on high quality, medical grade masks.

However we should have simultaneously encouraged younger people to use makeshift or lower quality masks in the meantime. Let older at risk folks use the better masks, and especially medical personnel and first responders given the frequency of risk.

Kraft was re-loading on massage parlor girls. The masks just happen to be there.

New research suggests that the virus could possibly be spread by talking or even breathing. Strengthens the case for all people wearing a mask.
Any day now, CDC is going to recommend masks for when people are out -- especially when in retail locations.

Wife went to Costco yesterday and they were handing out disposabe masks at the door. No mask-ee, no shop-ee. Crazy how exposed a cash register operator is. In an 8 hour shift, think of how many people are passing you by at less than 6 foot distance.

So here's how to cover your pie hole for your next trip out of the house. Takes less than 60 seconds. No sewing. Just need a square piece of cloth (t-shirt, pillow case, bandana, etc.) and two rubber bands. Re-use-able and washable. No impact on PPE and medical supply chain. If you want, you can take it to the next level and fold some kind of filtering paper into the business end.

We could all stop breathing. Improves your carbon footprint
Actually a really good mask can be made with two rubber bands, a paper clip, one shop towel (heavy duty paper towel), and a stapler:

The simplest....and you likely already have a half dozen. Just make sure you get the brown in the back and yellow in the front clean first.

If I'm not mistaken, total worldwide confirmed cases just broke 1 million, with more than 25% of those confirmed so far in the US.

We're doing better with testing that we were, though still difficult to get a test, and still not at per capita levels of numerous other countries.

BREAKING: Capt. Brett Crozier raised the alarm earlier this week that sailors on the USS Theodore Roosevelt needed to be quarantined to stop the spread of the virus. He is expected to be relieved of his post today. From @ckubeNBC

Yup...that was indeed predictable, at least as early as early-mid February...that's when the Defense Production Act should have been used to federalize production, purchasing, and distribution. Note that we still haven't done so...

Go ahead and tell me anything that Conway has said in the last 2 years that shows he is a conservative. Any issue at all where he praises even one Republican (try finding a positive note from George about limited government...). His whole thing is a schtick.

I know people who knew George at the Vard very well...'nuff said on who they are. They say he often did things just to get a reaction, even back then. And since the new rules are we get to draw a picture of a guy from the worst they did in college (see: how Dems treat Brett Kavanaugh), I can say with total confidence that George Conway is a clown.

He's an incompetent show clown, with a tremendous inferiority complex. Trust him at your peril.

It’s amazing to see liberals here repost a map where the guy who put it up originally is absolutely getting slaughtered on Twitter, causing him to retract the original thesis. The real problem is finding liberals who are NOT filled with hate, rage, or snark against those they think are inferior to them.

UHHH, 3rd person, not sure liberals can wrap their brains around the idea that grocery stores and places of work in rural areas are often more than two miles away. Not everyone has access to a corner bodega.
UHHH, buddy, not sure you can wrap your brain around the idea that it's not a map of how far people travel. It's a map of overall travel of the same people one week vs. the week prior.

I'll try to put it in terms you can understand. If you normally travel 2 miles in a week going back and forth from your corner bodega and now you still travel 2 miles in a week, it's gonna be dark red. If you normally travel 100 miles in a week to the Family Dollar a county over and now travel 0, it's gonna be light gray.

You need a remedial course in map analysis. Stat.

(fully expected btw, you're a Dem, an autodidact seething with a class warfare virus)
