Read these sentences out loud and see if you can figure out the problem with daylighting FISA abuses.

When Trump's ox is gored, you demand multiple investigations.

Want to find FISA abuses? Pull 100 warrants granted over the last 20ish years. Give them the Horowitz treatment.

You're telling us that they will all be squeaky clean, because you are convinced that FISA abuse only happened to Trump's pals.

This is silly, and you know it. Just stop.

 So the ACLU tells you that this program is poorly constructed, and designed for abuse.

The abuse, as they tried to tell you, happened. And of course, because those abused have a R by their name, you're upset over these abuses.

And you're here telling us that the ACLU was whining.

Both the ACLU and yours truly were right about FISA, and told you what would happen. And yet you're making fun of both of us.

Had a Senate Intel Comm senior staffer refrained from leaking to the news bunny he was boffing, we would likely never have learned that Carter Page was under surveillance, authorized via a FISA warrant & there would be no uproar about FISA abuse.

It became a big deal because (like the leaks of Flynn's calls & Presidential call transcripts), it revealed that Deep State Resistance members were abusing the powers of their office & the govt's surveillance capabilities for their political aim to subvert the Trump campaign then nascent Admin.

The IG found 4 inadequate Woods reviews in the 29 FISA applications he reviewed. That's it. It is not proof of widespread systemic abuse of FISA beyond that done by Obama/Resistance apparatchiks.

Wow. 29 whole reviews. Well clearly there's no problem.

So if you think 4 bad warrants aren't a problem, why are you complaining about the one pulled for Page?

You're not fooling anyone with this routine. It's only a problem for you if someone is mean to Trump. Otherwise? Who cares about 4 bad warrants out of 29, right?

 So you're proving my point. Republicans didn't care about FISA abuse until it hit one of their own. Yep. True.

ACLU and libs warned you. You didn't listen. "Suddenly" you're aware of the flaws in the system.

And the minute you don't think FISA will hit Republicans? You'll go right back to not caring about FISA. And you sure as *hit won't demand a review of warrants that were pulled over the last 20ish years on anyone that doesn't have a R by their name. Anyone in jail over these bad warrants? We have no way of knowing. Who cares, right? So long as Trump's men aren't harmed, there's no problem.

Until the next time it hits a Republican. Rinse. Repeat.

The point is -- other than the Carter Page applications, we don't know what the IG found.

What (D)'s. or anyone else, were wrongly surveilled ? Names plz.

 Are you just arguing for argument's sake?

WE DON'T KNOW. I agree. That's. my. point.

The other people who, like Carter Page, were denied their rights via FISA shenanigans.....don't have a guy like Horowitz looking out for them.

I agree and feel bad for Page for the second warrant that was given.

Judge Jackson has denied Roger Stone's bid for a new trial, rejecting his claims that alleged misconduct and political bias by the jury foreperson tainted the proceedings.

Here's the arsehole some low information types continue to support as president, when they COULD be throwing support behind someone else, oh, say like William Weld or Nikki Haley or ANY other Republican for president...

And he just may be correct; let's see what John Durham does (the early betting is John Brennan is indicted).

That, however, is not the issue as I see it. The issue is disslaxxx wants you, dear reader, to believe that he would be so much more comfortable with say Nikki Haley or Bill Weld, and that comity would descent upon our land once again, all we need is a 'reasonable' Republican in the highest office. If any of you believe that Democrats would stop tossing reckless verbal haymakers the Republican's way, with any Republican, might I interest you in a bridge in Brooklyn?

Let's roll the tape as recently as when John Lewis D-Ga (serious, sober, civil rights hero!!! ) called John McCain a 'racist'.

Democrats have one go-to move, their political half-nelson, which is to accuse any Republican of being a racist. Heck, they call Tim Scott R-SC a racist and he's black! Bill Weld belongs to several country clubs which have no blacks as members; wonder what the Democrats would do with that info...

Democrats are not serious actors in our political dialogue. They are paid protagonists seeking hostage money, extortionists of the body politic. Vote for them at your country's peril.

...and Dear Reader, is there really any doubt that our own Petey Brown mangles the King's English and the thoughts and opinions of posters here on a more consistent basis than our own self-avowed moderate, oh-so-reasonable Trump Republican? Did anyone else say how they see the GOP being wrested from the grasp of this grifter/con artist/narcissist? Now THERE are three words that i, for one, have NEVER applied (in combination) to ANY politician ever before... :D

Clapper committed a felony in front of everyone's eyes but I don't think the DOJ will go after him or Comey (Comey has fairly solid support from some very influential businesspeople close to Trump). I think what the DOJ wants is one important scalp to send a message, and since literally no one likes Brennan, he's the easiest sacrificial lamb. Plus it appears as if the evidence against him is overwhelming.

It's also way too easy at this stage to realize that Trump will pardon both Flynn and Stone, but not Manafort (whose crimes, like Cohen's, mostly had nothing to do with Trump, they long preceded Trump).

The 4th installment of Senate Intel's Russia report, examining the IC's January 2017 assessment of Russian interference and Putin's motives to help Trump.

"The Committee found no reason to dispute the Intelligence Community’s conclusions," Sen. Burr said.

One last report is due, regarding the many contacts between Trump campaign officials and Russians.

The report also discounts Trump’s Ukraine interference deflections. https://twitter.com/natashabertrand/sta ... 78465?s=21

Another reason the Senate did not dare hear from witnesses.
