Ghana has barred entry for all travelers, except Ghanaian citizens and permanent residents, who have visited a country with at least 200 recorded cases of Covid-19 in the last 14 days, effective on March 17. There will be a mandatory 14-day self-quarantine for anyone entering the country, according to a travel advisory from the government. Any traveler showing symptoms of the coronavirus will be quarantined and tested upon arriving.

On March 15, the Kenyan government announced the suspension of all travelers from countries that have reported Covid-19 cases. Only Kenyan citizens will be allowed into the country “with self quarantine or government-designated facility,” officials said on Twitter. The measure is in place for 30 days.

“All who arrived within the last 14 days must self quarantine,” officials added.

Yes, but he is Chinese and he has taught genomics to other Chinese, including researchers who worked on the Chinese effort to address the Chinese virus in their country, and you know, hide information from the rest of us. He is part of the problem. Not the solution. Why do you libruls love these Chinamen so much? Beside he eats disgusting stuff. ;)

David Frum on the only real path through this:
We can create a third path. We can decide to meet this challenge head-on. It is absolutely within our capacity to do so. We could develop tests that are fast, reliable, and ubiquitous. If we screen everyone, and do so regularly, we can let most people return to a more normal life. We can reopen schools and places where people gather. If we can be assured that the people who congregate aren’t infectious, they can socialize.

We can build health-care facilities that do rapid screening and care for people who are infected, apart from those who are not. This will prevent transmission from one sick person to another in hospitals and other health-care facilities. We can even commit to housing infected people apart from their healthy family members, to prevent transmission in households.

These steps alone still won’t be enough.

We will need to massively strengthen our medical infrastructure. We will need to build ventilators and add hospital beds. We will need to train and redistribute physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapists to where they are most needed. We will need to focus our factories on turning out the protective equipment—masks, gloves, gowns, and so forth—to ensure we keep our health-care workforce safe. And, most importantly, we need to pour vast sums of intellectual and financial resources into developing a vaccine that would finally bring this nightmare to a close.

But who is this "we" of whom he speaks?

In practice, there is only one possibility: Socialism. The federal gubmint.

Kushner leverage again.
I noted yesterday this situation smelled to high heaven without knowing it was his brother. Just another Kushner circle jerk. A serial failed businessman. No wonder his father in law gives him so much responsibility.

I brought up the similar thing a few days ago.... that it has revealed our Medical Infrastructure is poor. Only for that comment to be minimized and attacked that it was still Trumps fault nonetheless.

You point about Socialism / The federal gubmint is certainly a valid one. I think there is another layer....that can be brought into the fray. We experienced a similar thing after 911....that so many of our communication channels between agencies were not insynch. There was no collaboration, no sharing of databases, no sharing of clearances, etc. If I was cleared to work in the FBI, the CIA headquarters knew nothing about it.

In closing, the Trump administration should be praised for involving the public sector in this current event...especially for those that want nothing to do with Socialism as it relates to the negatives attached to it.

Sen Burr, Republican, North Carolina, head of the Senate Intelligence Committee, got liquid fast. He made 29 transactions on February 13 while he reassured the public. This used to be considered disgusting.

Does that mean you no longer hold Bush responsible for 911, since he listened to his intel about WMD's?

You certainly love driving in the backseat. ;)
