Military superiority is based on the internet?
No. It's based on technological superiority. Where do you think think that comes from? You think Lockheed is doing it all? What do you think all that money pouring into Hopkins Physics Department is for? Sweet lockers? Gold plated slide-rules?

You can't possibly not know where and how the internet was founded.

First of all, you know doggone well there are Federal loans, Federal insurance for farming equipment.
Second of all, who do you think invented the GPS systems that run combines? I can tell you, because my dad worked on it in the 70's while at the Department of Interior, when computers still run on reel to reel tape. He was 2nd in command for the design and implementation of ALMRS, which put all Federal land on a GPS. This allowed Fed agencies to understand what we had in terms of Federal land. From there they can fix rates for oil, mineral, or grazing rights. That R&D was all done by the Federal government, my friend.

Keep playing dumb. How about this: why didn't Silicon Valley pop up around IBM in NY State? That was ground zero for American computing, right?
