It'd be great to extend eligibility, although I don't know if the top players would opt for it.
Very best wishes to the players , their families, and the coaches.
Good health to all.

Good point. I wonder if students living off-campus will return to their Ithaca apartments after spring break.faircornell wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 8:31 pm

That's the best. Sorry, Cuse. Thanks for giving me a moment of levity this morning. We all needed it.

News a few hours old. Cornell has suspended classes with immediate effect in order to give students more time to vacate, and reduce the possible spread of COVID-19.

Sad news to report: team trainer Jimmy Case passed away today from a heart attack. He was an inseparable part of the team and will be missed. Rest in peace, Jimmy.

It's been many many years since I watched a Cornell Lacrosse game without Jim Case on the sideline.
While he was not a player, when one thinks of Cornell Lacrosse throughout the years, he is definitely one of the individuals that comes to mind. A constant.
RIP.

Such a tragedy. I didn’t know the man, but the outpouring of love for him says all I need to know about what a person he was.

Re: Cornell 2020
He was the lacrosse trainer for the last 10 years of the Richie Moran era and through last week. He taped the ankles of every Big Red player and treated their injuries for about a quarter century. A much beloved fixture for the lacrosse & football teams. Rest in peace Jimmy Case.

Re: Cornell 2020
I presume that many follow this in other media, but the PLL draft occurred this week with some interesting Cornell related results:
1) Rob Panel went Third (fitting number)... he will play with his brother James, and Cornell Assistant Connor Buczek on the PLL Atlas team.
2) Jason Nobel was drafted 14th, and will go to the Chaos team.
3) Ithaca College DIII 2016 Defenseman of the year, and friend of Cornell Lacrosse, Eli Gobrecht was drafted an impressive fourth by the Archers Team.
