With all these forfeits, Hopkins might be able to get above .500 and be tournament eligible.

No way the game goes ahead this weekend. It can’t given the cancel climate going on

Re: Johns Hopkins 2020
If the Patriot league is cancelling the season, what is the point of having this weekend's game? Seems arbitrary to make it effective 3/16.

Suspended vs cancelled - let the speculation begin on how this plays out

So come back with nobody to play?
Re: Johns Hopkins 2020
Considering Patriot League, Ivy, and NESCAC have cancelled their seasons, I can't imagine other conferences waiting too much longer to just straight up cancel. The Big Ten honestly could be next given PSU, Rutgers, UMD, and Hopkins are "northeast," which is where a lot of the school suspensions/cancellations are coming from.

Notice how Hopkins starts up again RIGHT AFTER the Penn State game that was scheduled for the 11th?

I think we should all go continually be jerks in the Loyola thread. Epstein is still surely leaving, right?Peter Brown wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2020 11:38 am

Re: Johns Hopkins 2020
So if alot of schools are either suspending or canceling their spring seasons... how will the NCAA committee pick the schools to play in the tournament??? the sample size will be so small, as will be the number of games played.Big Dog wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2020 11:24 am...Thru April 12.

There will probably be no 2020 NCAA Tournament.
It will be marked in the NCAA records as Vacated with an asterisk, in honor of the 30th Anniversary of Syracuse’s 1990 vacated title.

Mabbett has been cancelled for the remainder of the season. April 12 does not apply to him

Maybe it will be a good thing and the season can resume in a few weeks, which should make RPI even more accurate....NOT.

I'm guessing that the power conferences are all having conference calls today to see when to pull the plug. No one wants to disarm unilaterally.Mr. F wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2020 11:30 amConsidering Patriot League, Ivy, and NESCAC have cancelled their seasons, I can't imagine other conferences waiting too much longer to just straight up cancel. Not sure if this is sarcasm or not. There is not going to be a tournament.houndace1 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2020 11:46 amSo if alot of schools are either suspending or canceling their spring seasons... how will the NCAA committee pick the schools to play in the tournament??? the sample size will be so small, as will be the number of games played.Big Dog wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2020 11:24 am...Thru April 12.
