Jakester, when the NBA suspends their season and March Madness will be played in empty stadiums you know D2 lacrosse ain't gonna survive. The 2020 season is over my friend, it's just a matter of when.

At least in D2 and D3, there aren’t many games in front of a packed stadiums. Hopefully, they’ll continue to allow these games in front of a couple hundred family.

We did get notice last night that flights are being canceled and buses would be used instead.

I feel so bad for all the senior athletes. My son graduated last year. We went of nearly every game because you never knew if a game would be his last because of injury.

Personally, I see the benefit of suspending. Possibly start back up with abbreviated schedule in mid April or start with regional tournaments (not conference) and winners move on. better than nothing.

Just heard that,

Seton Hill (7) at Mercyhurst (2) this Saturday is still on.
However fans will not be allowed to attend. the game will be livestreamed.

This is great news considering what is happening elsewhere.

Patriot League cancelled their season and MLS has postponed their season. I see no path for D2 lacrosse to have a complete season.

Are the players going to lose a yr of eligibility? Will a 5yr senior be able to come back for 6th yr as grad student. With NLI signed already what happens to scholarship money.

Lack of planning got us into this mess, can’t make drastic changes without having a plan.

...and just like that, I may never see my son play again!
It's just amazing that after four years, playing every quarter of every game, and now still undefeated in his senior year, it could all just be over.
So sad for so many kids!

At least next year, I'll move to the D3 pages and you'll be able to find me there!

Feel bad for the seniors. Sad day to be a student athlete. Holding out for hope that this is merely a suspension in play and not the end of the season.
