How do you think the Trump administration has handled Cov-19?
Just fine....he has tried to keep America calm, re-assure that vaccines are in trial (which take a long time to begin with) and to go along with your life. BUT, we can see how hysteria takes a foothold on society.

Are you at work today, did anyone in your family touch a door knob, flush a public toilet, push a button after a credit card swipe or elevator button, eat food cooked for them by others, grab loose change from a purchase..and if you do get sick...who will you blame. Some things you simply can not control.
Really? The bolded part?
I watched him again and again say the opposite of "it takes a long time" and get repeatedly corrected by the docs...

and just to be accurate, the vaccines are not yet ready for even trial, that's a month or two or in some cases more before even Phase 1 begins, much less 2 and 3.

Even more surprised at what he said --
-- Italy's lock down is a mistake.
-- OK to fly if you're not in a high risk group.
Its interesting to see what some (Italians) think a lock down is. Plenty of people in the streets, going to work, eating in restaurants according to reports. Just fewer. Apparently easy to get an exception.

Big time older Jewish community. I wonder what they think. Shock? Not so sure this is a good idea. Sounds like they are turning it into a Ghetto given the NG presence (I know it is not).

Not exactly a reassuring video....infectious disease expert Michael Osterholm.

The report from a hospital in Milan from last night should concern all of us.

Spoke with my wife to get an update of what is going on in the local medical community. She was rounding at local hospitals all day today.

All the hospitals are setting up triage tents outside their emergency rooms. Geared specifically for CV.

She has her first possible CV patient scheduled for tomorrow. Child of someone who flew and had a layover in South Korea. She doubts there is an issue, but that's the history. No fever, mild cough. Problem is, given CDC and state health department policy on testing, that is not a possibility. Basically she can check vitals and send the kid home. Her major mid-Atlantic HMO, will not have access to tests for another two weeks, she has been told.

PS: In thinking about the problem for a few seconds, just this simple case, multiplied many times over by overly concerned parents of small children could flood hospitals. If you have never dealt with the worried parent of a "sick" (real or not) child, it is an experience. These parents will put major pressure on the primary care physician, pediatrician, to authorize a hospital visit when none is called for. At some point the primary physician gives in and makes the patient the referred hospital's problem. I am expecting a very stressed out wife over the next few months.

We live in interesting times.

An acquaintance of mine was flying out of JFK to Moscow today and she mentioned the place was empty.

What’s to become of casinos. I don’t gamble, but every time I’ve ever been to one it’s like heavens waiting room. A smoky one at that. Will they be bold enough to keep going?

Yes, the head of NIAID explained this a couple weeks back , not Trump, but it was during his first presser on the topic.

Reporter Eamon Javers tells @MSNBC that Trump is still too personally wounded by impeachment to get in a room with @SpeakerPelosi & negotiate a coronavirus response.

"It doesn't seem like that would end well," Javers says of WH thinking on trying to get Trump & Pelosi together

Kudlow just told John Roberts of Fox that $1 trillion in lost revenue for a payroll tax holiday for the balance of the year could be "found in general revenues" -

JHU site now has the number at 959 and 28. The commercial site was fixed earlier in the day, but is now double counting again. They need a real programmer apparently.

In any case, we will likely break 1000 over night, on our way to the real number of 5000. Orange Duce will have a coronary. Lots more than 15 and the number is moving in the wrong direction.

Trinity, well it does nothing to help with the virus but the genius thinks it will help to prevent a recession. It probably won’t. It’s just a way to back door a cut to health insurance and the safety net for older people

Won't the referring docs be able to send them directly to a private lab like Quest or LabCorp ?

Seattle tells every city what's coming.....We've seen at least a 50-70% drop with tourists coming through the market and our sales compared to last year and the years before," Alexander Vaughan, one of the bakery managers at Piroshky Piroshky, told CNN on Monday.

America isn't ready for this.
