Better coming off a win than a loss. Battle of the only 2 teams to defeat PSU the past 2 seasons (so far).

Go Big Red!

You got 40 seconds left in the game, you are down 1, who do you give the ball to. That's right, the most underrated attackman but the absolute best in crunch time, JEFF TEAT. And the dude with ice water in his veins makes it look easy. We are so blessed to have that guy and the next TD Lerlan is ANGELO PETRAKIS.

MY top 5 this week:
1. Syracuse
2. Cornell
3. Princeton
4. Yale
5. N. Carolina

Yale vs. Cornell Saturday. What a great game at Schoellkopf. We WON OUR FIRST 5, ALL away from the KOPF. Everyone should fill the KOPF next saturday.

Hah :!:
That would apply no matter who Teat played for.

Dom Doria #19 with the ground ball & pass of the game! Angelo Petrakis the MVP. Great job all the way around. No time to relax. Yale & Penn are next!

Yep. I like Doria. He plays with a chip and has been through some battles.

Got called for another 2 minute penalty that looked to be unfair, but he did have a slash or two again. But he is long and hard working. Thought Karey with a short stick was a good move and he can help in an area where we need it. Thank you AP 28

The great thing about the tying goal for both Jeff Teat and Cornell this year is that it highlights that Teat is now dangerous to be left uncovered. The perception in parts of the lacrosse community is that he's "just a feeder". However, leaving him covered by a short stick defender, with no slide, was underestimating him as an individual scoring threat.

Hats off to the team for never quitting, and fighting for every ground ball and every possession. Congratulations to the coaching staff for creating the offensive and defensive sets to challenge a very talented team and a very talented coach .

What a heart pounding gutsy win. And welcome to D1 lax Angelo Petrakis!!!! It appears Cornell solved its face off issues. He should take 80-90% going forward and every one in crunch time in the 4th quarter. And hats off to Ierlan as well. He had a tough time today (I wonder if the late day start and the sun had anything to do with it), but he came up with some big stops late in the game again.

The offense was unstoppable in the first half, but it didn't see the ball in the 3rd quarter and went a little stale in the 4th quarter until Coyle's two big goals made it 16-14. To score two goals in the last 40 seconds to pull a game out like that has to give this team confidence. Losing another close game in the 4th quarter after giving up a lead might have impacted the team's psyche, but the win has to help.

While the failure to hold leads appears to be a trend the past two seasons, and is a little disturbing, Petrakis' development may put an end to this issue.

Such a big win with the Ivy schedule coming up. Looking forward to next week.

I knew it was him before the replay. It was late but not high, in my opinion. I thought 1 min. Unnecessary Roughness would have been fair. He came in as a freshman with a lot of confidence.

You must be joking! The Orangemen's best win is over Army, who lost to Marist. Their 2nd best win is over Hobart. Both wins were in the Dome.

Cornell, on the other hand, just beat #2 Penn State on a neutral field, and beat Ohio State in the Shoe.

These are not comparable records.

Teat looked like the most dangerous player in Division 1 today, who else, a lot of great offensive talent but, maybe Ierlan who can just choke a team off possession-wise.

Ierlan has a knack for hanging in and making big saves at critical times, even when he is not playing very well overall. Barry Leonard keeps mentioning that Petrakis is not fully recovered from off season surgery. Full recovery, plus reps against top fogos will only make him better. Despite Ament's point total, Adler had a good day, and Doria made some key plays, but still room for improvement on team D. Knowing we can get more from Ierlan, Petrakis and D bodes well for us, although Yale and Penn are looming.

77,
If I put the BIGRED #1, everyone calls me a homer (which I am) , and your argument is infallible. What makes our run so so so incredible is NOT 1 win is at the Kopf. Look, we have YALE next week, so let's take care of that first.

Oh yeah, in the "I can dream category", how about an UNDEFEATED Syracuse team comes to Schoellkopf in April to play an UNDEFEATED Cornell team in the game of the CENTURY. #1 vs #2. What a scene that would be.

*if PSU ever slides to the ball, they could maybe be the top team in the country
Thank Cornell's coaches for why PSU didn't slide to back up the shortie on Teat. Long was at the backside of the crease and covered by a long-stick, who ordinarily should have backed up the shortie on Teat. Had he done so, Teat would have to make a very difficult pass to Long, and we all know how that only a super player could make such a ... oh wait!
