Thousands of Puerto Ricans (American citizens) are dead because of Trump’s negligence after the hurricane. How many will die this time because of Trump’s indifference?
His entire presidency has been a callous catastrophe.

4:40 pm: HHS says US will streamline commercial development of diagnostic test
The Trump administration plans to release guidelines “very soon” that will expedite the commercial development of test kits, Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar told reporters in front of the White House on Friday. “Private labs throughout the country will be able to come forward and get very streamlined access to approval by the FDA to be able to use that test to really enhance the capacities that we have here in the United States on testing,” he said. Earlier in the day, the CDC announced it would roll out new test kits for state and local labs. The announcements come after California officials and epidemiologists raised concerns about limited testing capability in the U.S.
3 pm: Amid testing capacity concerns, CDC unveils new coronavirus test kits
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said it’s increasing coronavirus testing capabilities at state and local labs after California officials criticized the agency for delaying testing on a state resident who has COVID-19. Dr. Nancy Messonnier, director of the CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, announced Thursday on a conference call that the agency has released a new diagnostic test for COVID-19. The CDC, she said, also rolled out guidelines for how state and local health labs can correct previously faulty test kits sent out by the CDC. The changes, she said, will improve the country’s ability to quickly identify and treat COVID-19 patients. “Our goal is to have every state and local health department online, doing their own testing by the end of next week,” she said.
From the S Korea ABC article :
"It just takes a lot of time because the tester has to change suits to a new one every time," said Park.
"All medical teams dispose of their quarantine suits and inspection tools by using it just once, and new medical tools are used for each patient, every time," an official with Samsung Medical Center, one of the largest testing centers in Seoul, told ABC News.

You did hear about the warehouses in Puerto Rico full of contraband stolen from Hurricane rescue. Yeh that was Trumps stash.DocBarrister wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 9:10 pmThousands of Puerto Ricans (American citizens) are dead because of Trump’s negligence after the hurricane. Re: All things CoronaVirus
CDC released new testing protocol today which state health departments then took, modified based on their capabilities and distributed to state physicians. It seems most states have no new kits. The only place I am sure has test kits (any) is California. New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia have none as best I can determine. In Maryland the CDC adopted testing protocol is for the primary care physician to make a determination based on questionnaire as to whether to test or not. If to be tested, the necessary test swabs must be sent to the Maryland Department of Health. The Health Department then sends the test material to CDC in Atlanta. CDC reports the results back to the Health Department which then reports back to the primary care physician.
There also seems to be an interesting wrinkle in the testing protocol. You must be tested in your state of residence. If you are a Maryland resident and work in DC for example and have a physician in DC, you must be tested by (samples collected) a Maryland physician. This may not be part of CDC / state protocol but rather an artifact of certain healthcare provider networks. I am not certain.
Oregon just announced their first positive confirmed case of no known origin. That is now three on the west coast.

Yup, 4 unrelated cases of unknown origin now on the west coast. The latest in WA is a high school student. The one in WA may resolve into a known origin case, it is too early to tell as it is being traced back, according to WA officials.Kismet wrote: ↑Sat Feb 29, 2020 6:06 amNow that testing is more widespread two more cases confirmed - one each in OR and WA
Don't worry thought, this is all imaginary, a great hoax according to Orange Duce, being made up by the media to embarrass him. Keep in mind through out this pandemic, it is all about him, the world centers and revolves about him.

First death from the virus is being reported out of Washington state. No details as yet. Don't worry, its a hoax.

6 new confirmed cases in Seattle area, making 7 in WA including high school student reported yesterday, one of which has died. 2 more suspected, but not confirmed in WA.

According to Orange Duce press conference (now speaking) it was a 50 year old women in poor health who has died. OD assures us he is doing a great job while continuing to undercount (his personal count) the number of cases in the US. Mike Pence and Alex Azar agree Trump has done a great job. They make special note of this in their presentation. Fauci speaks fourth behind the politicians.
In Q&A Trump is trying unsuccessfully to walk back his claim of this being a hoax (moving goal posts). Fauci is backing up the administration on the claim he was muzzled (ie, claiming he wasn't muzzled - he knows the game). Trump continues to claim only 22 cases when in reality it is in the 60s. Fauci is now basically telling the true store of what to expect, that he was not allowed to speak a couple days ago. - MY ASSESSMENT.
Interesting that there is no sign of Debbie Birx who was just appointed two days ago.

State of Washington officials late this afternoon corrected the initial reports that the first virus victim was a woman. It was a man. The victim was living in a Kirkland WA (outside Seattle) nursing home. The man who died was in his mid / late 50s. According to NBC two additional people linked to the facility, LifeCare, have tested positive: a health care worker in her 40s and a resident of the facility in her 70s.

boy, it sure doesn't make one feel like they have a solid handle on this when they can't even get the gender straight on the first American to die who hadn't been to Wuhan...how hard can that be???jhu72 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 29, 2020 5:41 pm State of Washington officials late this afternoon corrected the initial reports that the first virus victim was a woman. They're blaming it on an official down the line, but that sure sounds like some of the prior demands by the Admin that someone else take the blame or say Trump was somehow actually correct about some false statement.

Can also do without all of the sucking up to Dear Leader also.
But it covers the total capitulation to the Taliban in Afghanistan...another desperate election year ploy designed to divert attention from the public health situation.
You get the idea that the welfare of the country and its population takes a back seat to DOPUS getting reelected.

Re: All things CoronaVirus
It is not clear where the screw up occurred. The WA officials supposedly had said male earlier in the day according to the press, and the Trump boys claimed in was female based on what they claimed was CDC info. In any case, Jay Inslee did a presser later to clear up the matter. If that's the worse mistake they make, we can live with it.MDlaxfan76 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 29, 2020 6:36 pmboy, it sure doesn't make one feel like they have a solid handle on this when they can't even get the gender straight on the first American to die who hadn't been to Wuhan...how hard can that be???jhu72 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 29, 2020 5:41 pm State of Washington officials late this afternoon corrected the initial reports that the first virus victim was a woman.
