FanLax Forum Poll
Re: FanLax Forum Poll
Ok here’s my submission and rationale this week.
1) UNC...class of 2020 women’s lacrosse until further notice
2) Notre Dame ...ok now I’m impressed. Out Northwesterned Northwestern on their home turf.
3) Northwestern...mostly because they scare the hell out of everybody.
4) UVA... I know, I know, but Navy is good and they basically got off the bus and played Stanford, so I give them a 3-0 pass this week until Princeton.
5) Cuse...other team that scares the hell out of everybody, would be higher if they had any discipline at all.
6) Florida...knock off the champ and you move up, would have moved up higher if they didn’t squeak by Colorado
7) Stony Brook...not a believer and they could go undefeated looking at their cupcake schedule. Won’t move from here until others take two losses.
8) Princeton...wow really unimpressive against Temple? But did pull it out. They drop after loss to UVA this week out of Top 15.
9) Denver...keep wining and will keep moving up.
10) Loyola...see above, any team with 6 point machine Rosensweig stays in top 10.
11) Navy...something about this team I like. Larkin back.
12) Penn...I think they keep moving up all season. Just need a few pretenders to fall.
13) USC...nice win against UM, need to see more from any west coast team. Think Stanford beats them when they play.
14) Dartmouth...nice win over Umass won’t look as good in three weeks.
15) UM...had to put somebody here

I try to live by this..."....And I'll tell it and think it and speak it and breathe it and reflect it from the mountain so all souls can see it...."
Sorry for the Robert Zimmerman detour all you Women Lax Forum people...back to bitching about Florida's ranking....
Re: FanLax Forum Poll
Are they due out this week, or next? I thought I read something that they were going to wait until week 3.

They’re passing it around pretty good at Inside Lacrosse, as well.seacoaster wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2020 11:51 amOK, it's big spliff doober time at US Lacrosse.wlaxnut wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2020 10:35 amNeed more convincing?

Re: FanLax Forum Poll
My theme this week is to only look at what happened in the past week, not futures. I rewarded the winners, and punished the losers.
February has been a topsy-turvy month, and it showed over the weekend. So, my picks may seem a little random.
So, is Maryland a better team than Denver? Probably, but they weren’t last weekend.
1. North Carolina (3-0 nothing to see here)
2. Stony Brook (2-0 – beat Cuse)
3. Notre Dame (3-0 big win over NU)
4. USC (2-0, I think they will continue to surprise)
5. Denver (2-0, nothing new to see here)
6. Virginia (3-0, pulled out some close ones)
7. Penn (1-0, off to a good start)
8. Princeton (1-0, injury?)
9. Florida (2-0, beat Maryland)
10. Loyola (1-0, beat the neighbors)
11. Syracuse (3-1, lost to Stonybrook)
12. Northwestern (3-1, at some point they have to play defense, don’t they?)
13. Maryland (1-1, they will figure it out)
14. Boston College (2-1, they might figure it out, too)
15. Michigan (1-1, lost to USC)
16. Navy (2-1, lost to Loyola)
17. James Madison (2-1, win over UCONN)
18. Colorado (0-1, did not play)
19. Dartmouth (1-0, strong start)
20. Va Tech (2-1, no interesting games for a while)
21. Penn State (2-0, looking okay)
22. Stanford (1-2, tough losses)
23. Umass (1-1, big win and big loss)
24. Johns Hopkins (1-1, thrashed by Loyola)
25. Duke (2-2, rough start)
