Agree on the faceguard points above and good for North to take advantage, but where is the rest of the O, draw fire, redefend and D? Wow BC has dropped off.
There was more of the old BC yesterday. They have firmly established North as the draw specialist. Lappin can score, certainly Urbank has proved she can score. I think they’re still figuring out their offense. Defense wasn’t bad yesterday. They allowed only six goals. Rachel Hall looked good in net after a shaky first few minutes. They also showed signs of the old ride from the Apuzzo era. There is a drop off, no doubt, but it will be interesting to see how they grow as a team as the season progresses. Coach Acacia certainly has her philosophy that she is instilling in the players.

Apparently the crew of referees who called the game in Jacksonville vs Michigan were determined to enforce the rules. A whopping 17 cards were issued! 14 to the players, 2 of which were green, and 3 to the teams. I guess the refs weren’t taking any lip from the sidelines either!

That would make an interesting game...I think after 4 cards, the penalties are non-releasable....lots of EMO (EWO for those who care).

I look forward to the day when we can scrap the whole gender construct and just say “player advantage”

Why? There's the men's game and the women's game, two different games played by two different genders.
EMO (or man up/man down), EWO for the ladies.
Further, player advantage could mean I've got Charolette North and you don't.

Idunno—I just think it sounds awkward when you try to fit female gender speak into male gender speak or even worse, neutral gender speak. I read an article in the Boston Globe a few weeks back where the writer, Tara Sullivan, actually wrote “unsportspersonlike”

Interesting! Please give us a synopsis. Do they speak on the women’s game? How long is the podcast? Do they encourage people to contact them via social media or otherwise?

Its about 40 minutes long. All women's lacrosse. One of the speakers coaches club lax and played for NU.
5 of her players played on Colorado team. She and Jamie Munro discuss Colorado/florida game, NU game and the Sb/SYR game. They also discuss recruiting. It was pretty interesting if you are a lax aficionado like me

What is considered a blowout in women's lacrosse?

Post by wlaxnut »

I feel like I asked this question before but I forgot what the consensus was.

Is it 10 or over? Anything over 6? What do you all think?

Wouldn’t surprise me at all. They’ve already played their toughest opponent of the year. They won’t meet anybody substantial until The Tournament.

Princeton may want you to think about it some more....all kidding aside, that will be the only hurdle to being undefeated.

I did actually look at them, Doc, but then I saw that the game was in New York, so…
