Put me in charge of the Dems, and I'd the economy would be ALL I would talk about.

Trump has overseen the largest expansion of Socialism and Big Government since President Johnson. And every penny is borrowed.

And yet all the fake-conservative Trump fans are OVERJOYED at how well the economy is doing.

I wouldn't put Trump fans in charge of a local lemonade stand. It would go bankrupt before the doggone thing opened for business, and leave its creditors short a few thousand bucks.

These people can't add. Don't know what socialism is. Don't know what a handout is. And think interest on loans doesn't exist. My five year old has a better grasp on financial consequences than TrumpFans.....

The divisiveness is what I think was over the top. Right from the get go.
Agree. Pelosi set the tone of divisiveness skipping the usual intro of the president.
Then she wanted a handshake?!

Her act was laughable.

She acted like an elementary school child in the schoolyard pouting all evening and ripping up the speech.

For complaining about Trump's petty acts and immaturity all the time, Pelosi and the Dems lowered themselves last night.

Afan has his own crusade. He complains nonstop about the borrowing and spending the republicans do and all their "hidden socialism."

"Blah, blah blah the republicans are hypocrites..."

But he has zero contempt for the Dem party who's policies outwardly revolve around the things he rails against?

Odd.

Orange County District Attorney drops charges against doctor, girlfriend accused of rape
Citing a lack of evidence and accusing his predecessor of mishandling the case, Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer said Tuesday he is dropping charges against a Newport Beach surgeon and his girlfriend who were accused of drugging and sexually assaulting multiple women.

Spitzer has long criticized the case against Dr. Grant Robicheaux and Cerissa Riley, claiming it was used for political gain by former District Attorney Tony Rackauckas during a re-election campaign. Spitzer said Tuesday a full review of the case by his office's executive team found a lack of evidence to proceed.

"There is not a single piece of evidence or video or photo that shows an unconscious or incapacitated woman being sexually assaulted. Not one," Spitzer said.

Spitzer also pointed to comments made by Rackauckas during a recent deposition in a lawsuit stemming from the case, in which the former district attorney conceded that he anticipated getting publicity by announcing the charges during his re-election campaign.

I'm pointing out hypocricy too. aFan's criticism of democratic principles executed by republicans is hypocritical.

When has a politician of either party governed in the black? The dream of no borrowing and no deficit spending disappeared decades ago.

Both sides for the past 3 decades have been borrowing to spend. spend spend. Now its all about where the money is spend once it's borrowed.

I think what you are pointing out is that you don't really understand what hypocrisy it is or that you are working off your own definition of hypocrisy. Here is the real one:

"the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense."

What moral standard of his own is afan not conforming too? The Dems never claimed to be for spending cuts, unlike the bleating we heard from 2008-2016 that curiously completely disappeared in the last 4 years.

Why is this so freaking hard for your and tech and others to understand? Who the F has been in charge? Congressional Republicans had full control for 8 years until last January. And have held the Senate since Obama's first two years?

Who the F are we supposed to complain about? Pelosi has ZERO power. For the whopping Four important bills she signed----every one of them were spending bills. And I criticized every one of them. But did you want to hear about this? Nope. And why was that? Because your Trump signed it....so all you heard was me making fun of guys like you who were

Want me to stop? Stop being a socialist-handouts-for-everyone hypocrite. This whole experience with Trump has show how petty and flat out stupid your Republican voters are, sorry. The main complaints you had about Obama: Out of Control spending. More socialism. More handouts. Trillions more in borrowing. Trump is WORSE than Obama.

Speaking of which: If you're going to call me out for hitting Republicans? Where the F are YOUR complaints?

There aren't any. Just as we knew would happen. You don't have political opinions. What you give us is: Republicans good, Dems bad.

So maybe heal thyself, Doctor, before complaining about my posts, eh? ;)

Don't vote Republican. Problem solved. You'll see me hitting the guy in charge. We're SUPPOSED to criticize our leaders....something you EXCELLED at when the D's were in charge.

And I love how it's escaped your attention that I'm the one freaking guy who HATES Trump, yet praises him with no hesitation when he does something I like.

 I'm not a Dem. And if you've been around long enough? You know PRECISELY what I and many of the posters here want.

A balanced budget. Want to give handouts to the entire freaking State of Kentucky? Fine. Pay for it with taxes high enough to balance the budget.

I don't care how much we spend. We can spend more, or spend less. Makes no difference to me. Just pay for what we get.

This is an entirely reasonable position.

When Reagan, Bush, and now Trump has done is the WORST possible combination. They all swear government is bad. And then they cut the heck out of taxes, and raise spending to nosebleed levels....the WORST thing we can do. And all these trillions and billions of stimulus money gets the economy roaring. every. time.

And then the last part of this combination? Gguys like you come along and say "see, Republican policies are making the economy roar".

Sorry mate, you don't get to pee on us and tell us it's raining. Socialism. Handouts. Big Government. THAT is why the economy is roaring.

So long as you admit that? We have no quarrel. But I"m not going to let a bunch of Republicans who can't add, and don't understand how interest works try and tell me that it's government cuts that have given us this great economy. It's BIG Government.

And I guess you missed my pages long lecture on NYState's handouts to corporations when Cradle was rightfully complaining about his taxes exploded. THAT idiocy is 100% on the Dems. So are the asinine government pension plans in places like Chicago, where the Dems rule the roost. I hit the Dems al the time when they're actually in freaking charge of legislation. But you pay no mind to that, and act like I'm supposed to complain about AOC, when she is utterly pointless at this time.

Want to hear a complaint about AOC? It was petty and childish of her to skip the State of the Union. But this has ZERO effect on my life, so what do I care?

Are you talking big gov't or big gov't spending?
Both sides like to spend. It's where the money goes that's drastically different.
Dems purportedly spend on growing Gov.
Reps purportedly spend on growing Contractors.

I get your love for services, but what's your complaint against capitalists?

If it weren't for the contractors working for the Gov't, not much would get done. The govt isn't local, nimble or diverse enough to meet all the needs of the people.

More republican horse hockey.
Want me to walk you through the last four spending bills? All but a little over $800 billion out of over $2trillion+ went to big government, handouts and socialism.

I’ve said it a million times, and so have other posters. If guys like trump actually did as they claimed? I’d be the biggest republican you’ve ever met.

-responsible spending
-focus on having world class infrastructure
-minimizing state and local business regulations
-maximizing competition via strong federal regulations and anti trust enforcement
-a replacement for Obamacare that leverages the buying power of the federal government
-ensure everyone pays taxes. From the poor to the rich
-hand up, not a handout (I’m looking at trumps farmers)
-reasonable immigration reform. Old salt has a plan id kill for..

That’s just a few. If the Rs did this? I’d vote republican every time. Instead? We get the opposite of everything I just wrote. THAT is why I can’t stand them. And THAT is why I can’t stand their supporters...watching them cheer as their reps do the exact opposite of what they are claiming
