Johns Hopkins 2020

He was 6’3” and not a legacy so he has a chance.

You're right, must have been a sophomore by then...proving yet again that some guys don't hit their stride until late in their playing careers... if they keep working hard...and drink and smoke heavily?

Hopkins will have to fight for every win. Else, Dunkirk.
Re: Johns Hopkins 2020
Blondell has now been removed from the roster, in addition to Rapine.
As has Sande, but he wasn't going to play anyway.
16 days.

Don't think this has been posted yet

The unexpected apparent voluntary loss of a couple guys who were expected to contribute speaks to a culture change if I may be permitted to speculate. With no inside information, optimistically one might think the team will be taking on more of the character of it's youngest captain and some guys didn't want to get on and ride the bus (or ride the pine?). Blondell was a late decommit from Navy and ended up with us, perhaps he came in expecting to get more time off the bat? That is an un-generous assumption though; considering how different the two schools he commited to during HS are, perhaps the kid is just still figuring out what he wants in a college.
Lots of unknowns this year, something to be excited about in this fan's opinion. Could be a disaster, if so we will have something else fun and exciting to look forward to next year (new coach?).

Yea that was terrible... I apologize for posting it before reading . Should have assumed nothing interesting would be said anyway with how tightly the wagons have been circled this year.
Edit: They also incorrectly listed Connor D. as a senior. Did a double take. Time moves fast but apparently not that fast.

He only had 4 goals last year.

yes, i josh. without the 'hoos matching up this year, prodding the nest may be the only outlet.Catbird wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 2:40 pmNot sure if serious?wgdsr wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 2:36 pmthey also have him listed with 4 goals.Catbird wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 2:27 pm Yea that was terrible... truth, the 'hoos have their own 1st line middie conner, a big point producer in high school and had similar numbers last year. was a freshman without the expectations -- but with 2 other mids gone it'll be time for him or others to step up in the midfield.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2020
Blondell did only appear in 5 or 6 games last year. I liked his length and he appeared athletic and disruptive to a degree but he only garnered 1 CT and no GBs so it couldn't have been that disruptive. If he is truly not buying what Petro is selling then so be it - next man up. If McManus is having an epiphany and playing well and one of the young trees gets in there and pays attention - no reason the defense can't be better - if it's the same or worse - then "No May for You". The hourly weather forecast for Saturday says the rain % diminishes to 60% and described as Light Rain by 10 AM. 20% by 2 PM if each team plays two full time games. If I go I will be intensely interested in whether the Hopkins goaltender - wearing the wrong pinnie undoubtedly - is medium height and left handed or shorter and right handed.

I’m convinced that there is a cancer, you are seeing multiple symptoms of it, and the only cure is an exorcism.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2020
oh, i know that and given there are two games Petro can afford to mess with the sub patterns but if one of the four starts both scrimmages then you'll have a pretty decent idea.Hail to the Victors wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 9:45 pmYou'll see both...51percentcorn wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 3:44 pm If I go I will be intensely interested in whether the Hopkins goaltender - wearing the wrong pinnie undoubtedly - is medium height and left handed or shorter and right handed.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2020
I just got my season tickets in the mail. Do they actually enforce those seating assignments, or do people just tend to sit where they want like it used to be? I didn't buy them last year so I'm not sure how things have been working there.
Re: Johns Hopkins 2020
yes, they do. even for games where team side stands are... well less than full. there may be something sillier, but i don't know what that might be.Sagittarius A* wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2020 8:51 am I just got my season tickets in the mail. the upside is you can freely go opposite side and get away from the band and on the sunny side.
downside is petro and benson can't hear your adjustments and you don't get to understand how the refs are screwing you from the die hards
Re: Johns Hopkins 2020
I’m not saying what it is but to suggest the players aren’t living up to some new standard by the captains is nonsense. From all reports young Epstein wouldn’t say shi+ if his mouth was full of it. He just works.WOMBAT, Mod Emeritus wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 10:45 pm I’m convinced that there is a cancer, you are seeing multiple symptoms of it, and the only cure is an exorcism.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2020
Not really my experience. I have tickets in one of the reserved sections and the person standing at the bottom glances at your ticket to see that it says reserved but other than that they don't care. I imagine over by the parents and the band and the bananas where it is crowded it might be more cut and dried but if there's room to stretch out or to get away from Cornell Willis' a$$hattery - no one says anything. Homecoming - especially against Maryland will likely be a different storywgdsr wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2020 9:05 amyes, they do. even for games where team side stands are... well less than full. there may be something sillier, but i don't know what that might be.Sagittarius A* wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2020 8:51 am I just got my season tickets in the mail.
