Latest Faux News broadcast report is now recognizing the size of the caravan is down to about 3600 (though they still hold out hope it could be 10,000). They are wondering where everyone went. Still no report of them making their Wednesday destination of Mapastepec.

Yahoo News is now quoting size of caravan down to about 4000. Other right wing media aren't even trying to pretend they know the size of the caravan, simply leaving the count at "thousands". US is sending 800 troops to the boarder. There are already about 2000 on the boarder. Clearly the military is not expecting anything like the huge numbers predicted, recognizing there is and will be continued attrition. The vanguard remains more than 1100 miles from the nearest entry point.

PS: Faux News in the same report had Jessica Vaughn, their immigration specialist, claim there was a problem on the Canadian border with Romanians.

Regardless of size of the group, and it is funny because all you do is pay attention to FAKE NEWS, so the size is definitely much much bigger than what the mainstream media lets on, Trump calling for troops to stop them at the border is a great move. Thank God he is our President. Hillary would've let them walk right in and murder, plunder, rape and pillage everything in sight. Remember Kate Steinle? Remember Mollie Tibbetts? They'd both, along with countless others, still be alive if we actually enforced our laws about the border. The caravan has not yet reached the railhead where they can board "the Beast".

Sending US troops to the border is a symbol that has a whole different meaning to Central Americans than it does to US citizens. It's being done to discourage migrants (& their home country govt) from undertaking the journey. News interviews with the migrants reveal that they are not well informed. Most have not yet been tutored on what to say to establish credible fear when applying for amnesty.

This may also be Trump signalling that he may turn away, or immediately return, Central American asylum seekers who passed up the UNHCR center enroute or asylum application in Mexico &/or Guat. That might give the Trump Admin standing in US courts to turn away the asylum seekers. At least make a Judge overrule him. The Trump Admin can make the case they are compliance with international law.
