If Trump has done nothing else for this country, his very presence (the thought of a guy this uncouth as POTUS!!) has exposed many people for who they truly are. Or at least who they temporarily are...which I hope is the case.

Would MDLax, Tech37, and TLD take the most generous (and flatly absurd) analysis of an Iron Cross tattoo on, say, Nikki Haley, and claim it actually is a 4-leaf clover"? We know the answer; of course not!

Partisan blinders are an incredibly fascinating study. Democrats are ironically the most guilty of partisan blinders and most prone to excessive emotion, and yet, they are the first and always the loudest to claim otherwise! That raises the study of projectionism, which is an entirely different topic so I won't go there.

I will leave you with another anecdote for those interested, and those not interested. I once attended a very fancy and intimate fundraiser for a man whom I think the world of, Evan Bayh; this event was held in a rather palatial apartment in NYC. Evan was a Senator from Indiana testing the presidential waters. Just a superb human, too good for politics Imo. Evan is a Democrat but of the Joe Biden ilk: centrist, calm, measured, thoughtful.

At this fundraiser where I was the lowest form of wealth by factors of 100, Evan was verbally accosted by 3 very well-known (you would know all three by name if you have any business dealings in life) businesspersons from the world of media and finance. These 3 'gentlemen' were unhinged in their vitriol at Evan, crazily yelling at him (a Senator!) in front of 30 other Democratic donors, that he wasn't 'aggressive enough', that he wasn't 'man enough' to be a leader of the Democrats. He didn't have the 'stones to go after Republicans' the way these three demanded. Foaming at the mouth does not do this justice.

They wanted to embarrass a sitting US Senator to his face. That was the whole purpose of their act. It was the strangest performance art I have ever been privy to. Thankfully, my good friend who had taken me told them to all shut the eff up....then all heck broke loose. Much longer story there. I have never been so embarrassed for a group of supposedly accomplished human beings in my life.

That was the beginning of my slow departure from the Democratic Party. I saw a weirdness to the supposedly vaunted upper class of the Party (I checked out totally with Hillary Clinton); who would yell at a sitting US Senator?!?! In front of others?!?!?

And so, when Kira writes about how Democrats are now in the crazy-bird seat, I nod my head. When you can't serve a meal to Sarah Sanders, regardless whether you hate her or not, you've lost all control. In essence, you equate Sarah Sanders, a Presidential Press Secretary, with a murderer. Think on how crazy that is. Think then how crazy you sound when you lie about Katie's iron cross as a 4-leaf clover. And yet I'm the one who could not care less if it is! (and of course it is; and of course we have zero idea what she was thinking; she could be a raging anti-semite, or a drunk girl killing time at 3 am in West Hollywood). But, your instinct here is to go stupid and claim 'everyone's eyes are lying, folks...nothing to see'. You are now the crazy ones. I doubt seriously you can see that.

I bet of everyone on this board I have seen Fox less than any. I watch CNN if I watch news...mostly I watch ESPN. For sure I have never seen one episode of Sean Hannity.

I do watch debates. Did you know that Elizabeth Warren applauded a nine-year-old child who claims to be transgender during last week's CNN Equality Town Hall and suggested that the child assist her with choosing her education secretary, should she be elected?
