Right. So which specific Federal Employee is "The Deep State" that FoxNews complained about for four years, Pete?

Because as you know, a NewsChannel would NEVER go after every single Department in the Federal Government, and tell the viewers that they are all corrupt, right Pete?

Do you realize that Fox isn’t this monolithic one-size-fits-all news channel? A lot of Republicans for instance don’t like Bret Baer; me personally I think it’s idiotic but whatevs. Other Fox viewers don’t think Gillian Turner is a conservative. Fox’s Bill Melugin is doing serious work at the border. Neil Cavuto. Martha MacCallum. Bill Hemmer. John Robert’s.

These are serious journalists.

You’re confusing the Hannitys of the world for the entire operation. Easy to do tbh, but it’s lazy.

Trumpnista aren't buying any of this. I happened to look at last night's FoxNews home page. The Hutchinson testimony was story #6. Right now the story is #20 and here's the headline: "Bombshell claims in Jan. 6 testimony disputed by ex_Trump officials, sources say."

They live in an alternative universe.

MSNBC & their WP guests are now sliming the 2 secret service members Hutchinson cited who reportedly disagree & want to testify.
Update on the FoxNews home page: Hutchinson story now back to #6 and headline revised:

Faux News also reporting that USSS sources confirm Trump was furious, yelling and shouting in the Beast when told they would not take him to Capitol Hill.

So basically confirming the testimony.

Good thing for the SS that Trump didn’t have a lunch plate nearby. Very hard to drive with ketchup on the windshield.

FYI the SS is supposed to be non partisan. So Ornato crossed a line when he accepted a political appointment from Trump. As was widely reported previously, Biden moved Ornato out of the WH due to his entanglementnts with Trump.

... I have not seen either MSNBC or WaPo reporters engage in this behavior. When and who?
Andrea Mitchell -- Phil Rucker & Carol Leoing clip from last night's Rachel Maddow.

Leonig -- ' ...very, very close to Trump, some people accuse them of, at times, being enablers & yes men...very much people who wanted to do what he wanted & see him pleased."

Mitchell -- " ...only secret service agent who got very close to the Pres, then promoted to a political role of Dep CoS.
...it was his leadership of the sec svc unit which lead Pence to be very careful not to want to get in the limo to evacuate because he did not trust some of the higher ups.

Rucker -- " he became so close to Trump & so trusted by Trump elevated him into a political appt. He was a political figure who worked under Meadows & oversaw all of the President's movements ...like you say, he's a very political figure & a real fierce Trump loyalist, it's important to keep that in mind regarding Pence's refusal to leave the Capitol on Jan 6."

They were in an armored SUV, not the "beast" limo. Another hearsay error. in her testimony.
POTUS has armored SUVs and limos in his fleet. While the "Beast" most often refers to the limo, any vehicle occupied by POTUS is often slanged as being the Beast.

MAGA gaslighters first attacked Cassidy's testimony by suggesting that it would be extremely difficult for Trump to accost the driver from the way back of a stretch limo.

Until pictures showed he was using the SUV version of the Beast. Which would make a Trump driver encroachment much easier. So now MAGA gaslighters like you attack her for using an incorrect slang term. JFC.

And of course, Cassidy was only recounting what she was told by Ornato. So let's have MAGA Tony testify under oath if folks ever used the term Beast to refer to the SUV, OK?

And let's be clear about what the SS is confirming.

Did Trump demand the SS take him to the Capitol? YES.

Did Trump throw an in-vehicle tantrum when they told him no? YES.

And did the SS breach protocol by not having POTUS strapped into his car seat with a cold fresh juice box? YES.

Which was a big mistake. ;)

Trump was in the suv version. Which is still called the Beast. So again Cassidy’s testimony is accurate.

Show us the documentation that "the Beast" call sign rides with whatever vehicle the President is in.
It's not an Air Traffic Control call sign like Air Force One that signifies the President is on board.
Show us the documentation that "the Beast" is a tactical call, used only on whichever vehicle has POTUS onboard.
In news reports & car shows, The Beast is the nickname for the fleet of armored Caddy limos.
MSNBC reporters cite that he was in a SUV, rather than the Beast limo, to support her contention that Trump could reach the steering wheel.
Is his golf cart referred to as the Beast when he's using it ?

“Wanting to testify”?

Put up or shut up. Do or don’t. Until they testify under oath it is noise.

Maybe they should “woman” up like Cassidy.

MAGA Tony -- more sliming of dedicated Secret Service agents who tried to safeguard the VP & his family & refused to follow Trump's orders which would have compromised POTUS safety & furthered the violence on Jan 6th.

Trump's 'girth would prevent him from actually getting to the steering wheel' of his SUV, former Secret Service agent says: 'I don't see this president ever being able to do that. Ever'

Former Secret Service agents questioned the account in interviews with Insider.
One said Trump's "girth would prevent him from actually getting to the steering wheel."
The Refresh logo
Listen to The Refresh: Insider's real-time news brief.

Former President Donald Trump would have had to squeeze through an "extremely tight" space to be able to grab the steering wheel of his SUV and lunge at a Secret Service agent, as former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson testified Tuesday.

It's not impossible, one former Secret Service agent said, but it's not likely for the 6-foot-3, nearly 250-pound Trump, who the agent noted is also "not the most agile human being."

"Trump's not a little guy, right? And the space to actually be able to lunge towards the wheel is not that big," the former agent said, speaking on background to Insider. "I don't mean to sound disparaging to the former president, but just his girth would prevent him from actually getting to the steering wheel."

Hutchinson's recounting of the lunging episode was one of the most explosive allegations during an extraordinary day of testimony Tuesday to the House committee investigating the January 6, 2021 attack on the US Capitol. She said she was told it happened when Bobby Engel, the special agent in charge of Trump's security, prevented Trump from joining his supporters as the Capitol riot began. She recounted a description of the events that she heard, immediately after it happened, from Tony Ornato, then the White House deputy chief of staff for operations, with Engel in the room.

"The president reached up towards the front of the vehicle to grab at the steering wheel," she said. "Mr. Engel grabbed his arm, said, 'Sir, you need to take your hand off the steering wheel, we're going back to the West Wing, we're not going to the Capitol.' Mr. Trump then used his free hand to lunge towards Bobby Engel," Hutchinson said, adding that Ornato "motioned towards his clavicles" when recounting the story.

Engel previously told the committee about a disagreement over Trump's desire to go to the Capitol and that they returned to the White House instead, POLITICO reported last month. But CBS News and NBC News have reported that Secret Service agents are prepared to testify that Trump didn't try to take control of the SUV or lunge at them.

"We have and will continue to make any member of the Secret Service available to the Committee," Anthony Guglielmi, Secret Service spokesman, told Insider.

Former Secret Service agents questioned the account in interviews with Insider.

Can you imagine a NewsChannel sliming our Federal employees when they say and do things that a political party doesn't like?

Boy, I can't. That would be terrible. ;)
Yeah, from the same crew that VP Pence didn't trust enough to get in his vehicle in the Capitol basement. Spare us the crocodile tears for the SS. When was the last time an agent was appointed to a political position in the Executive Branch?

Let them testify under oath in public. Seeing that you appear to be on a first name basis with one of them ask him yourself.

Interesting that the agency did not deny the the testimony when asked.

THE MEN DISPUTING CASSIDY HUTCHINSON’S RETELLING OF TRUMP’S SUV LUNGE GOT WARNINGS ABOUT PLANS TO FLOOD THE CAPITOL
Since Cassidy Hutchinson’s startling testimony on Tuesday, credulous journalists have reported anonymous sources pushing back against one of her most dramatic stories: that when told he was not going to the Capitol on January 6, Donald Trump lunged towards the steering wheel of the SUV taking him back to the White House and then went after the clavicle of the head of his detail, Bobby Engel.

On top of being anonymous, the pushback never disputed Hutchinson’s claim: that she was told this story by Tony Ornato, the Secret Service Officer that Trump elevated into an important political position at the White House, Deputy Chief of Staff, in front of Engel, who did not dispute the story. Plus, Alyssa Farrah has described that Ornato, in the past, has disputed things she said under oath (about Trump’s stunt in Lafayette Square), without himself going under oath.

Nevertheless, that anonymous pushback has distracted from a far more alarming detail in Tuesday’s testimony that Ornato and Engel have not disputed, neither on or off the record: that they got warnings about plans to occupy buildings in DC and, implicitly, warnings about Proud Boy involvement.

[snip]

The story of Trump lunging in the SUV is a distraction, and Ornato, a loyal Trumpster, is likely using his pushback to distract from far more damning details of Hutchinson’s testimony:

- Both Engel and Ornato had warnings of plans to occupy buildings
- Hutchinson linked Rudy Giuliani in advance of the attack to both militias that attacked the Capitol
- Ornato discussed these warnings in advance with Mark Meadows, who pushed Hutchinson away twice during the early moments of the attack
- In spite of foreknowledge of a plan to occupy buildings and the involvement of militias, Ornato nevertheless continued to plan to take Trump to the Capitol
