There were two remarkable upsets in the AAA bracket. Springfield looked to be the hottest team after winning the competitive District 1 title then fell flat in a 9-3 loss to Conestoga. The other being Wissahickon defeating defending state champs and frequent finalists LaSalle 10-9. I believe this is Wissahickon’s first time in the state tournament. The schools are about 6 miles apart. The quarterfinals in AAA look to be competitive from here on.

The LaSalle upset was a bit bigger I think. Wissahickon had a very good year. Went into the D1 tournament as the 7th seed. It was their first time in the tournament, along with Kennett I believe.

The Springfield result would have been the prediction before the D1 tournament. They went into it 6th seed and got hot at the right time.

The Semis are now in place, all District 1 teams.

Looking forward to Tuesday. It would be great if they selected a field so it would be a double -header.

Kennett makes it to the finals in their 1st ever appearance in a state tournament.

In AA we now have a first time final with no team from Philly. Mars, from Pittsburgh, could be the first to bring home a championship from Western PA. In any case it will be a first title for either Pittsburgh or Lehigh Valley.
