Nice season under the radar for the Marcus Whitman Wildcats in Class D, sitting at 12-2. Quality wins over Bath, Wayne, Geneva, and PalMac. Blowouts in most others. Losses only to Livonia and Penn Yan. We'll see if they can keep it rolling in sectionals.

PYA due to pandemic were forced to play in Finger Lakes league and not able to play the usual harder schedule that prepares them for post season. They simply got overwhelmed in the second half

They're the overwhelming favorites to take Class D again though. PY sights are always set on bigger wins however. Lousy for their community that another sectional title will be the last stop this year.

Pal Mac over Whitman 11-9.

HFL takes down Geneva 6-5. Very surprised by this one.

Watched the Victor/Thomas game online. Listening to the Victor fans or maybe "fan" was kind of funny. They were riding the refs pretty hard, even after the game was over. They really are not used to losing. Good game otherwise and from what I saw, the refs did a pretty good job with a few good "non-calls" which is what you expect in sectionals.

+1 sectionals is where you let the boys play.

Nigel, your Braves game against Thomas should be awesome. There could not be two more evenly matched teams.

Hopefully they gave the PM fans their $5 back to take the sting off.

Did the big blue horse make it out to the game? The PY youngins probably needed some entertainment since the game was so lopsided.

Thomas takes down Cdga tonight 6-5 in a good one. Full marks to the Thomas zone D and their GK. They stifled the Braves offense for most of the game while their O did just enough. Game ended on a Cdga fast break that hit the outside of the pipe with 15s left. WT, true to their effort all night, beat Cdga on the backup (ball actually went to sideline) and then ran out the clock.

This season is now in the books.

Incidentally, for those that follow boys/girls lacrosse in Section 5 on the sportsfive.net sites, you should donate a couple of bucks if you can. They do great work.
