So Coaches make a joke out of the End of season awards. Goalie A has 9,2,17, 7, 19 against him in all district games. Team goes 2-3 and he wins ALL STATE goalie. Goalie B has 4, 11, 10(OT), 0, 12 in all district games, Team goes 3-2 in District. This goalie with a SHUTOUT and wins head to head matchup 19-11, gets nothing. A bunch of politics. Shameful.

Agree as a saw some of the issues you mentioned for the goalies in the region I am in as well. In short, way too many "all-state" awards for how small of a state Texas and we have now- All States for A, B, C, D.........

Not sure how to fix the issues, I talked to another coach and he said he was paying back another coach for voting on his guy. Amazing!! So I have a kid who Tied the state champs in regulation who gets nothing. Was also told the other goalie was a Senior and next year my guy will get his chance. What the heck? really it is supposed to be about this year. Another issue was the other team only played district game (5). Our goalie played 12 games and against upper divisions. A TOTAL JOKE. Hearing that other people had issues too lets me know it may not be vindictive, but i am still not happy.

I was under the impression that All-State was for only divisions A and B, and that C and D would be nothing above All-District.

Heard Bridge was trying to stay down in class D after winning the state title. When it literally says you have to move up the next year if you win. Flower Mound has a new coach after Carney left for Hebron. Any new schools? Any teams do it big during the fall?

Unfortunately I don't think anything changes this year...ESD, Jesuit, HP, Woodland and Westlake are still the cream of the crop.
