CBA is now ranked #2 in the NEW YORK H.S. Rankings.Where can I find these rankings?Do they include both Public, Private (ND) and Parochial High Schools?

I see some, not all Parochial Schools are included in the A classification. The article I read in The Syracuse Post Standard indicated that CBA was ranked #2 in the state. I didn't realize the reference was to Class C.CBA is a Christian school, correct?

Thank you good sir.

Trying to revive the once great Section III thread

A - Fri, May 27, 2022, 5:00pm@ Cicero-North Syracuse HS
1 Baldwinsville
3 Liverpool

B - Fri, May 27, 2022, 5:00pm@ Cicero-North Syracuse HS
1 West Genesee
2 Fayetteville-Manlius

C - Fri, May 27, 2022, 7:00pm@ Liverpool HS
1 Christian Brothers Academy
2 Westhill

D
- Fri, May 27, 2022, 5:00pm@ Liverpool HS
4 LaFayette-Onondaga
3 Cazenovia

Bville 2-0 vs Liverpool this year
When did West Genny drop down to B? 1-1 vs FM this year
CBA won only H2H game 13-11
Top 2 D seeds (Skan and Marcellus) dumped. Caz handled Laf 17-5 earlier
If we need that extra push over the cliff, ya know what we do...eleven, exactly.

Thanks for doing this, Nigel!

I like reading this thread, but never have much to add. The syracusefan.com forum does a good job tracking section 3 games, too. Any of these games going to be live streamed? Any players we should look out for? I know there are a couple familiar last name on the West Genesee team, like Mellen and Lockwood.

Some great talent on the remaining teams. The CBA v. Westhill rematch should be great. I think either team could have a date with Mt. Sinai in the State finals. Cba has 4 kids with at least 37 g. Westhill has dominant middie going to Cornell with close to 50 g.
JD is a young team with a soph with 57g and 34 a.
Baldwinsville has a legit shot a state title thanks in large part to a dominate defense. I am not as familiar with class D teams but caz middie going to yale has 77g and 36a and lafayette duo has combined for 99g and 64 a.

The old guard on this thread have gone MIA and it's more difficult to get good info now since Syracuse.com has a paywall, so I don't know too much. What I do know is West Genny is still wearing their socks up high!

I watched the highlights of the WG JD game from this season. The WG offense was moving the ball well and they were moving well off-ball as well. That's good to see.

Also note that WG is competing for the first time in Class B - means their title hopes go through undefeated Victor in Section V who beat J-D by 10, FM by 5 and BVille by 3 in the regular season

Is there declining enrollment at most schools in section 3?

I think it is a fairly widespread issue in many paces not only in Upstate New York.
in S11 Smithtown West is now B (from A)

Right statewide. And even flat or small decline in population is typically worse for population of kids 18 & under.

3 & 4 are the odd bracket to determine who plays 10 champion (C & D only as no A or B teams in 10)

The other odd bracket is 1, 2 and 9 - 9 & 2 play first with winner matched against 1
