Is it true there was a forfeit in the State Quarterfinals yesterday? 1 team didn't want to make the drive to play?

There was a forfeit (James River) which sets up the 5th meeting between Patriot/Battlefield this season. Pretty incredible they let a team bail on playing in a state tournament quarterfinal

Does anyone know the story regarding the forfeit?

No Madison won. Battlefield v Madison. I think we see a PWC champ at Champe.

Battlefield favored, but don't underestimate the Madison coach. For them to survive West Po, it may be their destiny. The force is strong. Is class 5 easier for Riverside than 4? And credit to Dominion. Every year I think they graduate everyone, and here they are again. Anyone have the all american list?

Inside NOVA has that “James River forfeited due to a limited number of available players due to conflicts.” Whatever that means.

The principal fired the coach from his coaching position. He is still employed at the school. Community is not happy about it.
