This is a great hire by Goucher. Coach Hannan has years of experience in game preparation and in-game adjustment. He has tons of connections in the recruiting world and, during his time at Goucher, he was able to bring many solid lacrosse players to the school, which on its own is not an easy sell to a high school recruit. He has the ability to raise the level of every player who plays for him. In his first time at Goucher, he brought together players from all across the US and molded them into a very successful program. I expect he will do the same this time. He is starting from ground zero but has the ability to bring in players who will re-establish a winning tradition to the program.

Great hire by Goucher. He has his work cut out to get Goucher back to where he had them but it will be interesting to watch

It was my understanding that Coach Kelly was getting paid pretty well and Coach Hannan REALLY wanted to be back.

What is pretty well? I can’t imagine Goucher going much past $70k, if even that.

I had heard that the situation between Panos and Hannan was palpable.

I dont know the amount. I had heard that there was talk that he was one of the highest paid coaches in the Landmark conference, if not the highest.

I don't know Panos from Adam, but I also imagine most are a fairly salty drink when your AD places your potential replacement in your lap.

The AD at Queens created the friction between the two. AD brought in KH without consulting Panos and essentially made it seem KH was the heir apparent. From what I have read Queens is planning to transition to D1 so I am sure Panos will be out the door soon. Either way welcome back to the Landmark KH

Bombshell post from the transfer portal page of Tynan Hillery. Taken the big step up I hope he does well and puts some respect on the landmarks name. Don’t got any dog in the fight but sure will be rooting for him

I was browsing Goucher's Lax site and ran across their 2023 Schedule. 2 games less than last year. Dropped Gettysburg and Messiah.

No point to add those ranked teams to the schedule when they turn out to be blowouts.

Messiah wasnt a blow out. 12-8 loss. Gophers were down 7-8 starting the 4th quarter. In my opinion RMC is the one they should have dropped instead.

Absolutely, especially if you are looking for a more competitive game. Dropping Randy Mac instead of Messiah would be the way to go.

Don't know at what part of the process they are at yet.

Interm Head Coach is: Clayborn Arnold. Wonder if they just keep him on.

Susquehanna is playing Dickinson again this year. Another non-competitive game.

I am always for stepping up on the competition, which (IMO) is more valuable and goes a long way in getting teams prepared for conference play.

I have noticed that with a number of budgets being cut/shrinking, coaches are scheduling games within a workable travel distance not to incur any extra expenses (overnights) and have to explain it to their AD
