Re: LIBERTY LEAGUE 2022
As I've seen others make their predictions I'll make my own...
I think the Tigers will take revenge to a whole new level up in Rochester; RIT 22 - RPI 7. Even with zone and good goal tending, the Engineers can't slow down the wrath they are about to face. RPI will try and make this game messy but RIT is too well coached and far too talented to let another upset occur.
Union vs SLU will of course be the better of the two games. In my humble opinion SLU has the talent but not the depth or experience to upset Union. I view Union as the more mature and physical team and am taking them 16-10 at home. Their face-offs, goalie, and 5th years will take over this game. We saw the real Union team only in the 4th quarter last time they met and if they bring that again I am not sure the Saints can pull off an upset on the road.

St. Lawrence at Union
This one is officially a good one at 5-5 at half and lot's of runs by both teams.
RPI at RIT
A bit more competitive than thought but RIT is a strong finishing team

Re: LIBERTY LEAGUE 2022
Big win for SLU. I have watched these teams go at it year after year. They recruit from almost the same demographic of kids. It is hard for one team to beat the other more than once a year. Even when one is stronger than the other it still comes down to a flip of the coin. A nice rivalry. It is almost as if you are better off losing in the regular season if you are going into the LL semis with being on the bubble for Pool C if you can't take a serious run at RIT in the finals.
Re: LIBERTY LEAGUE 2022
Well, bound to lay an egg eventually. Not to say that losing to SLU is awful. They are obviously a good team and the loss, while an upset, isn't shocking. It's losing by six at home that is surprising.

Big win for SLU, defense really locked down Frey and McGovern after 1st quarter. Would love to see them get another shot at SJF in NCAAs
Re: LIBERTY LEAGUE 2022
Excellent shot selection by St. Lawrence- many patient quality shots

Damn I should’ve put that $100 on Rich Strike to win.TopShelf585 wrote: ↑Mon May 02, 2022 4:18 pm SLU plays inspired with the return of their goalie and takes Union by 4.
RIT will put a beatdown on RPI- by 10+.
Saints fall to the Tigers in finals - better game but still can't get over the psychological hurdle.

15 min to selection show, we think RPI gets in? Union and SLU locks for Pool C but RPI on bubble watch. A win against RIT should get them in IMO but never know with committee....

4 teams in, awesome! And they are spread out pretty well. Only potential matchup I see is SLU vs RIT if SLU can beat Bowdoin. Union has an interesting path too. In my opinion not an overly challenging one to see York or CNU in the final 4. They have no rematches from the regular season unless it is against SLU, RIT, SJF, or Tufts in the Natty Ship. Wesleyan vs RPI is a fun first round match up as well!

Re: LIBERTY LEAGUE 2022
Great game yesterday with St. Lawrence edging Cortland, 15-14, in a game that came down to the huge advantage SLU held in the faceoff game. I was also impressed by the SSM speed St. Lawrence displayed clearing the ball.
I see no reason why St. Lawrence, a legitimate top-15 team in my opinion, can't take Bowdoin down to the wire. Hopefully, the coaches found something in the Tufts game tapes that they can use to exploit the Polar Bears. Best of luck to the Larries.

That would be kinda cool. Kinda boring. But they certainly both will have more than earned the right to be there. It’s hard to argue that the Liberty league wasn’t the best conference this year.TopShelf585 wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 10:46 amTwo from LL in the Finals would be unreal.TopShelf585 wrote: ↑Mon May 09, 2022 5:25 pm Chances of getting two from LL to Championship Weekend-
