Matt Whitcher (‘18) made his PLL debut over the weekend at SSDM for the Waterdogs. GBs in both games, with the Dogs going 2-0. Love seeing Spartans at the highest level.

Transfer coming in from the late DI Hartford-
Billy Breigel- Defense, 6’3” 210lbs
Saw action vs Albany, Wagner & Stony Brook
Comes in as a rising Junior, so should have 3 years left with 2020 back.

Some size and DI experience, sounds good to me.

Matt Witcher (‘18) potted his first goal for the PLL Waterdogs against the Atlas on 08/14 (as an SSDM) along with a pair of ground balls. Having not lost in the purple jersey yet, he heads into the semi-finals of the playoffs next weekend (09/05) against the 2020 PLL champion Whipsnakes.

I have heard that the OOC schedule will be very strong with games against Salisbury, RIT, and Cabrini to name a few.

This should be a good group and I have seen a few of the kids from Jersey play. Spencer is a fogo and should certainly help spell Vinny at the X. he is also pretty skilled offensively and would have had more points in HS if he had a better cast around him DeJulius did not get a chance to play until late at DBP because of the NJ transfer rules but he was the best player at his school in CT. when he was there. Apel was an All American in NJ and one of the top goalies in the state.
Also sounds like 7 of the 9 AA will be returning to York which is also a great development

I’ve heard similar on the plethora of returning AA’s, which is great. O’Sullivan is one of the two gone, I wonder who the other is….

Getting the DI transfer in Breigel on the back end is big too.

Tyler Nation is the other one that has graduated and moved on but Kennedy is back as is Noah Bruno and Reynolds.

Nation is a big loss at LSM, as is O’Sullivan at attack. That said, York’s stable is full of talented LSMs, and Coach Child’s did a great job last year cycling so many players through at attack. I’m not so sure any one particular player will take O’Sullivan’s role full time. The level of talent, going so deep into the roster, is a huge advantage.

If Reynolds can get near his pre-injury form, the threat of his shot from up top will help free up some extra time and room down low.

Also looking forward to finally seeing the Bruno brothers together when York sees RIT this year.

For scrimmages, it looks like York will head to Towson 01/29 for scrimmages with Towson and Bucknell, and host St Mary’s (Childs Bowl) and Harford CC on 02/05.

I like York’s schedule. 9 home games, 6 away, 2 neutral at the Mustang.

Heavily ladened with 9 MAC opponents, but I believe it has enough bite in the strength of schedule department. RIT & Salisbury (back to back), F&M, Gettysburg, Cabrini, W&L, and Stevenson. I also like the addition of Bates, never hurts to have a NESCAC team scheduled.

Plenty of opportunity for the young talent to see action as well.
Exciting to see these schedules starting to come out.
