I feel in the weeks to come, the Queens and Newberry teams will move up in the rankings. LR had started their season missing a lot of their depth. In the second half of the Belmont Abbey game, LR out scored the Crusaders 8 - 3. In this game their two All Confernce Attack scored 4 of 14 goals, evidence of this returning depth. I would rank these teams as:
1. Tampa
2. LR
3. Queens
4. Newberry
5. Wingate
Right now it’s Tampa and Wingate then everyone else. Could probably throw UMO in there too...and you didn’t even mention them! Good thing is Wingate plays 3 of the other 4 teams on your list (and UMO) so there won’t be any doubt once it all shakes out.

Re: 2021 Scores and upcoming games
I took a peek at the Seton Hill game yesterday. They looked a lot bigger, faster, and more physical than both Limestone and Wingate yesterday. They have a lot of size in their midfield, and they let Chestnut Hill know it. I might go as far as saying they might be the best team I've seen in this short year.
With no North/South OOC games, it'll be interesting to see how the North gets going.

Wingate may move up as high as 5th in the country and you have them 5th in the south?!?!?

The season is finally underway and I agree this will all shake out. In early scores, these top SAC teams I have seen their offences starting to gel. We will have a comparative for Wingate as this Saturday LR hosts Limestone. In limited viewing of the past weekends games, I feel the offensive play of Queens and Newberry were a team strength if compared to Wingate. The stronger defensive teams will play close attention to the 1 or 2 dominant offensive players to limit their scoring chances. Case in point was the way Wingate defense took the top Limestone scorers out of the game. I go back to this to refer to LR's depth. LR have 5 or 6 offensive contributors every game and it is this depth I feel will separate LR during the season. LR did play UMO in a scrimmage a few weeks back. Lots of subs for both sides and LR scored 13 - 9 result. The UMO strength of schedule is lowest when compared to the SAC teams above. This was my reason for not ranking UMO in the South top 5.

All I am going to say is this. Defense wins championships. Newberry wont even be considered because their in the SAC and Queens? They lost to UMO 9-4 pretty convincing lose score was misleading. Also does anyone know that scrimmage went between Colorado Mesa and BYU? The stopped recording mid game
Re: 2021 Scores and upcoming games
CMU 13, BYU 12. Very tight game throughout. CMU was down 10-7 at one point, and rallied on the strength their faceoff guy and a good 10 man ride.

Hats off to Colorado Mesa (I think, kinda, sorta) for making a cross country trip through the Southeast. That's the only D2 or D3 team I've seen doing that this year.
It's either a thoughtful comment or smartass sarcasm. Learn to recognize the difference.

Montevallo is up 24-5 and still have their starters in vs a very subpar team. Whose trying to pad their stats, go from preseason ranking to 1-4 think their coach is trying to save face? running up the score and your stats vs a low level team does not make you a ranked program

Re: 2021 Scores and upcoming games
That is true should've pulled starter maybe 10-15 goals. The great teams schedule harder teams out of conference just food for thought on that as wellLaxCoach13 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 3:40 pm Montevallo is up 24-5 and still have their starters in vs a very subpar team.
