Lacrosse Bucket writeup on Delaware,

Last season, Delaware had the best scoring offense in the CAA (20th in DI) as it averaged 13.42 goals per game and only failed to reach double digits once (Cornell). On top of that, Delaware also had a 33.8% offensive efficiency rating and had average possession time of 42 seconds, per Lacrosse Reference. They also boasted the 16th-best shooting percentage in DI lacrosse (31.6%) and saw 58% of their goals come off assists.

That unit was led by an attack trio of JP Ward (40G/32A), Mike Robinson (53G/15A), and Tye Kurtz (52G/15A). Those three alone produced a combined 207 points and 145 goals last spring and accounted for 56% of the Blue Hens’ offensive production.

Cole Herbert, UNC transfer,

its looking like the Tigers will be the landing spot,
hoping Herbert might even get a look with Tiger’s football,

regardless, yet another good pickup by Nadelen,
depending on confirmation of transfer,

Stamper of IL has Grant projected as the number 5 pick in
this year’s NLL draft,

5 Panther City Lacrosse Club
Owen Grant, LD, Toronto Beaches Jr A & Delaware *

Four of PCLC's first five picks last year, in their first entry draft, were forwards. Three of those—righties Jonathan Donville and Jack Hannah, lefty Kaleb Kueber—went back to school and will be joining the team for training camp this fall. With that influx, it seems like adding to the back end is logical, especially given that at this point in the draft we're getting to the long stretch where none of the players are really elite prospects but many are very good players, which means the order in which teams will have them ranked will vary drastically from club to club. PCLC is a little older and thinner on the left side of the D, so adding a robust young defender to the pipeline on that side makes sense. Grant isn't a flash pick, but he has tons of support in the coaching/scouting community because of his sturdy, consistent play. Grant was a second-team all-star in the OJLL as a 19-year-old in 2019, so it's not like he's come out of nowhere, but his stock has risen leading up to the draft.

Its a huge class, 19 incoming freshmen, the surprise being that the Canadian Finn Halliday who was expected to join the team
last year instead enrolled this year.

The difficulty for anyone facing off against the Hens,
you’ve got a roster full of 4th year / 5th year players,
that’s a lot of experience to try and overcome.
