Understandable, not surprised. Dang shame a player at Navy has never had an OC for their 4 years in quite some time.

Awesome that Coach Phipps is back! Will things immediately get much better like they did when he came to Navy in 2015 and Georgetown in 2018?

Damn. You guys are getting a hell of a guy and coach. I know the Hoya kids are crushed. From my understanding it was his connection to the Naval Academy in hopes of making that his families permanent home. So maybe that string of OC’s leaving will come to an end.

I certainly hope so. Knowing his demeanor, he is a players coach and connects extremely well...so long as you are equally accountable. Maybe he can start 'Frosty Friyay's" with the men.

Assuming he does great, which I think he will, hopefully, this time around, the only way he would leave Navy is for a head coaching opportunity.

 I had hoped the Route 50 commute would bring Tillman back. This is almost that good. Great news !

Great hire. Excited to see what he'll bring to the table on this go-round.

I know this isn't about Navy Lacrosse. But, due to being a Navy guy, I know that a lot of you are supporters of JL Reppert, who is the current head coach at Holy Cross. Keith Euker, most recently the volunteer assistant at BU, and the former head coach at McDaniel, is now his assistant. Could this be what JL needs to start winning lots of games?

I am longing for the days of huge, rowdy crowds for home Navy Lax games. Let's hope they return soon!

Potential, if Hopkins stays on the sched :
odd years -- Army & Hopkins
even years -- Loyola (if Navy starts winning enough to make it a rivalry).

The best way to achieve this would be for the sport to collectively agree to move the season back to March 1st or first weekend of March as a universal start date. Therefore, even though you still have your conf schedules and games like Navy-Hopkins early in the season, they fall on warm April Saturdays where people will want to come out and enjoy instead of cold March or February ones

Yep! Like that 2004 meeting in April at Navy Stadium during Navy's classic season. That day was definitely warm.
