My guess is St Joes and Gtown.
Gtown/Loyola have regularly done a midweek and it's always a lively affair.

Yup. All of this.OCanada wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 2:55 pm I would be surprised if the team does not surprise on the upside. Replacing the OC alone should support the expectation. If injuries do not take a toll this team can be very good. I have watched A B Spaulding since my son played with Kyle Dixon. Our transfer is very good. I know a couple Canadian players who believe MC needs to be on the field. The defense should be at least marginally better too. Game prep should be better too. Optimism
Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
I think PM said he wanted the friday/sunday situation last year something about "not missing mid-week class time".51percentcorn wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 3:53 pmThat means potential for 3 straight road games as @ Navy on St. Patty's day is also official Correct? As the week-ends line-up it - mathematics suggests there has to be 2 weeks where there are two game within the week. I am hoping for alternatives other than last season's Friday Sunday debacles. Looks like the 5 possible candiates for the midweek or Sunday (ughh) games are Loyola (unlikely), St. Joes UNC UVA and G'town. Everyone else is either BIG or set.
The offense now has its 3rd coordinator in 4 seasons after 2 in 20. That's a lot of mixing and matching for a young man like Crawley.
Carc and Quint have an offseason podcast up. They lost me after the first 5 minutes of carc on speakerphone talking about the weather in pj fleck's final game and "hitting the town after cuse practices".
Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
Not really interested in people arguing about how bad Hopkins is right now. You are what your record says you are and I’m not sure that’s truer anywhere more than Homewood. All that being said I thought Degnon could have been in the top 50.

any reason you didn't just say that originally?flalax22 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 1:47 pmNot really interested in people arguing about how bad Hopkins is right now. The original post " Do I have this right the Jays don’t have one player in the IL's Top 50 Men's Players for 2023?" was absolutely designed to get people talking about how bad the Jays are.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
Damn there are a lot of insecure mind readers here. More like I was surprised that IL who has a history of over rating Jays prospects and players didn’t have one in the top 50 and I thought Degnon or Smith could have been there.51percentcorn wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 5:14 pm+1 ^5 - throw in some clapping emojiswgdsr wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 2:34 pmany reason you didn't just say that originally?flalax22 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 1:47 pmNot really interested in people arguing about how bad Hopkins is right now. Inside Lacrosse has a history of not knowing its ass from its elbow. If you’re surprised by anything they put out, chalk it up to that.

Women's soccer just won the national championship. Daniels and Baker continue to destroy the athletic department

They inherited strong D-lll programs and have arguably improved them.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
With a program that's been down for years anything like this that can keep it relevant is good news.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
If you read the entire article/press release - I don't see the name Johns Hopkins once - Homewood Field of course but if you didn't know Homewood is on that campus you would have no idea. Homewood has hosted so many lacrosse related events - MIAA/NCAA Women's/PLL/ big summer tournaments etc. etc. this is just another. There are many things the school could consider to get the legacy/history out there even more than it is - some require money maybe some just require some creative thinking - (for example - and this has been mentioned by others - it doesn't take a large leap to think Hopkins must be sitting on one of the largest if not the largest collection of lacrosse videography) but this PLL/HOF one-off has little if any relevance to the Johns Hopkins program in and of itself. It's been a long time since the two versions of Technique and Tradition. If kids are going to attend they are mostly going to get to see a video board Syracuse highlight reel with Gait/Powell/McCabe as three of the most prominent inductees (along with Jr of course) - though I guess it will be mostly pro action.jhu06 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 12:08 pm With a program that's been down for years anything like this that can keep it relevant is good news.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
It's an excellent idea but the school still had a shot w/Petro and Benson up on their athletics staff directory page last year. This isn't an Ed Sabol or Roone Aldredge bunch. But one can hope that after they finish coverage of womens soccer's title they'll get around to it.51percentcorn wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 2:57 pmIf you read the entire article/press release - I don't see the name Johns Hopkins once - Homewood Field of course but if you didn't know Homewood is on that campus you would have no idea.
