He has an odd case. If he graduates not sure how he can play in the league. I would like to see him stay.

This article suggested he still had one year of eligibility at Penn? Maybe he took a fall semester off at some point? https://www.usalaxmagazine.com/college/ ... 9-penn-men

Confirmed

Grad Transfers: Teddy Dolan Decides on Maryland

Arriving in college park as a redshirt senior, Dolan will have two years of eligibility left to use. He joins a goalie room that is constantly one of the most stacked in college lacrosse and is headlined by current starter Logan McNaney, who has two years of eligibility left that he can use.

Fake, Tevlin and Eschbach are all graduate transfers in the portal with one year of eligibility remaining.

Stiffler wrote: Mon May 16, 2022 2:23 pm I don't think the transfer portal is a good idea for the vast majority of programs. Tillman is the only coach who is adept enough to make it work (and I am not a UMD fan). UNC, Duke, G'Town, ND all went heavy portal and it didn't work out. I actually think that is a big reason why all those teams started poorly. Coaches always seem to discount the locker room effect.

To be clear, I am not saying the transfers are bad kids or players, but I do think it messes with the locker room when coaches bring in transfers and essentially "cover up" underclassman or the next in line guy. If athletes don't believe they will be rewarded for hardwork and commitment to the program with at least a fair opportunity to compete for starting job, they eventually stop working and a certain level of apathy settles in. It shows a lack of confidence in the guys a coach already has on campus.
Only Tillman? Really? Stiffy, check out the Scarlet Knights....
Totally. My mistake. They have figured it out at Rutgers 100%. And to be clear, I am not against transfers or allowing kids to find opportunities to keep playing. I just feel more like buyer beware. It isn't an automatic path to success and there are plenty of use-cases where it actually was a net negative to a program. Over the long haul, we will see how it evolves good or bad.

Carolina hasn't gone heavy in the portal although one could argue that they should've this year given midfield and close D deficiencies. Connor McCarthy was the only Covid-related grad transfer in '21 and Dominic Pryor was the only such addition for the '22 season. Both were very good fits in terms of addressing team needs.

 Can blame the guy for wanting to get out of Binghamton area, although college park is only a small step up. ;)
A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.
