As always, here is the top individual EGA performances of the past week. The full post is here, but here are the highlights...

Ashton Wood (MER) grabbed the top spot for his 7.23 EGA game in the loss to Jacksonville. One thing that is interesting about Wood's season so far this year is that he's really cut down on the turnovers. In 2020, his play-share-adjusted TO rate was .19 after putting up a .17 mark in '19. In 3 games this year, his play-share-adjusted TO rate is just .06.

The rest of the top-10 looks like this:

Asher Nolting (HPU) - 6.65 EGA
Jake Carraway (GTWN) - 6.62 EGA
Andrew Tyeryar (UNC) - 6.58 EGA
Matt Moore (UVA) - 5.78 EGA
Vince D'Alto (BU) - 5.75 EGA
Jake Naso (DUKE) - 5.60 EGA
Connor KIRST (RU) - 5.57 EGA
Nathan Laliberte (BRY) - 5.56 EGA
RJ Romeo (PC) - 5.45 EGA

And I don’t give a dump whether you don’t give a dump about him not giving a dump... I’m kidding. You’re right. But seacoaster is also right. He’s posting it in the wrong place.

I am happy to read analytics stuff. The OCD in me just wants it squared off, in the right place, etc., etc.

As always, here is the top individual EGA performances of the past week. The full post is here, but here are the highlights...

Ryan Tierney (HOF) had the top stat line with 9.28 EGA. So far, Tierney is shooting 47% (career high) on 12 shots/gm (career high). His excess shooting percentage (measure of how many goals he scores vs expectation given the shot profile) is positive for the first time in his career. And he's matched a career low in turnover rate so far. Put all that together and you have most of the explanation as to how Hofstra has the No 12. opponent-adjusted offense this year.

And here is how the rest of the top 10 shook out:

Chase Patterson (HOF) - 7.05 EGA
Dylan Pallonetti (STNY) - 6.74 EGA
Aidan Olmstead (LOY) - 6.54 EGA
Joe Robertson (DUKE) - 6.22 EGA
Matt Campbell (NOVA) - 6.19 EGA
Jonathan Dugenio (RU) - 6.16 EGA
Brendan Nichtern (ARMY) - 6.09 EGA
Mike Robinson (DEL) - 5.99 EGA
Mike Sisselberger (LEH) - 5.92 EGA

James Reilly (GTWN) finished with the top stat line (8.25 EGA) this week. Marquette hung with the Hoyas for 30 minutes. But then in the middle 2 quarters, Georgetown outscored them 14-5, on the back of a 28-13 possession advantage. Reilly was a big part of that.

And here is how the rest of the top 10 shook out:

Chris Gray (UNC) - 7.94 EGA
Tommy Sopko (BUCK) - 7.15 EGA
Nick Rowlett (MICH) - 7.12 EGA
Tye Kurtz (DEL) - 7.09 EGA
Ryan Smith (RMU) - 6.64 EGA
Tommy Burke (UVM) - 6.54 EGA
Tj Malone (PSU) - 6.47 EGA
Ryan Archer (HOB) - 6.42 EGA
Adam Charalambides (RU) - 6.20 EGA

Two MLAX games on the slate today:

- Stony Brook vs Syracuse
- Boston U vs Holy Cross

The Cuse game should have some fireworks; it pits the No. 3 opponent-adjusted offense (Cuse) against the No.5 unit (Stony Brook).
