The passion and Grind of the game by both teams was impressive. East Stroud never gave up and I never felt like Queens was in control of the game. Congrats to the ESU players and Coaching Staff.

The Adelphi - UIndy game was an eye opener. Why? Not just because UIndy won, but it shows a change on the Lacrosse landscape. of the 32 woman roster that makes up the AU team 30...THIRTY...are from Long Island or NY State. It stands to reason that they would have a strong program with NY, and LI specifically, being the Hotbed of Girls HS and Club Lacrosse. Talented players are everywhere in that state.
On the other side, there is UIndy. Out of the 29 woman roster, ten players are from NY. They have six players from British Columbia, Canada. Wow, the Canadian players are everywhere. This roster has a lot of players from a number of places, BUT, they make it work. It was apparent that UIndy was on the same scale with any D2 team. They beat AU yesterday and they competed with a tenacity and determination that AU did not match consistently. It was a terrific game to watch for me.

Tomorrow...UIndy vs ESU. The ESU win over Queens was very impressive. However, I think the UIndy win over Adelphi was a bit more impressive, thus my pick will be UINDY!
Uindy was killer on the draw. In the first meeting between those two teams au defense caused turnovers and the offense capitalized. This meeting the offense was super flat. Indies within driving distance and Adelphi had a long trip and apparently a harrowing tornado warning experience from what I heard lol. I think waiting around all day for a night game is stressful. With that being said they just did not play well. I’m sure they would like to get that opportunity back but you need to show up to win a game and you need to win the draw. You can’t win without the ball. I’m sure this is something McCabe will work on for next season. I think they lose quite a few starters but I know they have some good players waiting their turn. And their Cuse transfer will be back from ACL injury. They’ll be back

Delaney is a BC guy who went to Seton Hill, hence the connection with the BC girls. He seemed to really like the Rochester/Central NY kids early on in his recruiting. Continues to be pretty successful there. He is a good recruiter and has had impact players transfer in. The school treats its athletes fairly well so there is that as a draw as well.

It will be interesting to see how they do on the biggest stage of all in D2. Both first time finalists so the team managing their nerves better could play in important role, at least in the first quarter.

UIndy wins. What a good game to watch. Both teams played their hearts out. ESU goalie was outstanding with 14 saves. Defense was very good.

Difference in the end was too many possessions by the Hounds. Romig and the circle players controlled the draw all day. Defense stepped up when needed and the offense found enough to get the win.

Congratulations to them for winning the National Championship 7 years after stepping on the field for the first time.

was a great game - I may be mis-remembering, but I thought ESU had a premier draw specialist as well? In any event, the performance by Romig was incredible

Was some pretty good lacrosse played, agree.

ESU had 3 girls who combined for 250'ish draws. The statistical leader in the PSAC was the first year from Seton Hill, Bunker, who had 250'ish. Great year for her. She will be one to watch.

Due to the competition she faced all year, Romig was in a class by herself at the circle...imo. She did help in the circle with 4 and 16 as they had 50+ as well.

Per US Lacrosse Magazine Delaney has been fired.
