Re: Transfer Portal 2024

Every so often a Chris Grey will get missed by the big guys and transfer after a year or two. But I really see the transfer activities slowing dramatically.

Re: Transfer Portal 2024

I think the lacrosse numbers will dramatically drop after the Covid guys finish their option of a free year. It was easy to play four years somewhere and then enter the portal for a free one, the student has essentially lived up to his obligations and the guys he came in with are graduating so they ...

Re: 2023 world lacrosse men's championship

It’s rather depressing taking two teams of professionals and putting them in a pool with teams of club guys. Add this to list of why very few people care about lacrosse. It’s a really cool experience for all the other teams, for USA and Canada it’s not.

Re: 2023 world lacrosse men's championship

[ If I had my way, I'd put the college game in the Olympics. That just wasn't possible. It's either sixes or nothing. Given that, some form of the game is better than no form of the game. Wouldn't be shocked in 50-100 years if we don't see sixes as the version of lacrosse that is played everywhere,...

Re: 2023 world lacrosse men's championship

Openly understanding that those two teams have the best players in the world, the lower level teams will provide much more entertaining games. This international game is brutal, and sixes is even worse. I see lacrosse continuing to be a niche sport with the college game being the most entertaining....

Re: North Carolina 2023

Breschi firing Metzbower is a complete chicken sh…. move! The guy gets some heat from the AD and he offers up one of the great OC’s of all time as a sacrifice to buy himself some time. Metz and his 7 national championship rings is the primary reason why Breschi has 1 ring and he buried the guy. What...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2023 - D1

The fact that they immediately announced Scudder as the next HC also tells me this was in the works for awhile. Scudder is a great young coach and actually an upgrade in my eyes. He is a true Lehigh guy while Cassese has been trying to leave for years and now he got his wish. Good luck being second ...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2023 - D1

The person who just had Cassese's job took a head job at Dartmouth. I'd say that is at best parallel with Lehigh if not a step below. You don't make this move unless there is something else going on. A HC gig at a PL school trump's an assistant at any other school. 100% Something is up, my gut tell...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2023 - D1

Danowski will try to stay at Duke long enough for his son to grow up so he can pass the throne to him, I just don’t see the son growing up. No way anyone leaves a HC position at a good Patriot school to be an assistant anywhere even UVA. I’d bet a lot the AD told him his days were numbered and he sh...

Re: Best player in your schools history

Since I’ve seen Hopkins play more than any other team, I’ll take a stab at their best players at each position. I am considering only players that I have seen. No disrespect to the elder statesman, but I’m confining my picks to those who played in the time period during which I’ve followed college ...

Re: Who Wins it All in 2023?

Corrigan will finally get his natty, Duke is so undisciplined on defense. They slide early and unnecessarily. They also have a goalie problem, 6 saves still shocked they didn’t pull him.

Re: Duke Vs. Penn State Semifinal-05/27 @ Noon

Speaking of refs how about 2 penalties the entire game both on Duke, very rare a team isn’t penalized. Refs were invisible until they weren’t.

I am really torn with this question as I genuinely don't like any of these programs, respect yes, like no. I wish there was an NIT tournament. :D

Re: (Presumed) Impact of Grad Student/Senior Heavy Rosters

Gtown and probably others have been so dependent on the portal that most of their rising juniors and seniors have never seen the field. It has to be an issue in that locker room and certainly at the parent's tailgates.
