Way to bet: Duke beats UVA, UVA beats ND, ND beats Duke.

Re: Obituaries - Gone but not forgotten.

If the story is true (I have no idea): ... Rogers said he was hired by O.J. Simpson to break into Brown's house and steal some expensive jewelry, and that Simpson had told him: "you may have to kill the complain" ... That would be a lead not to follow. EDIT: The correct quote is in the li...

And he never did find the real murder even though he ceaselessly kept trying for 30 years. Glen Rogers said he kill Nicole & Ronald. To this day Rogers family believes he did it. The proper hearse for OJ has been chosen. IMG_1412.jpeg Mebbe Glen Rogers can be the driver: https://en.wikip...

Re: Notre Dame 2024

I have twisted my shoulder in strange ways creating brief, unbelievable pain, which subsides, so long as you don't lift it too high. But later, when you try to raise your arm beyond a certain point, the pain returns, where you are afraid to test your range of motion. Not saying that is the case here...

The flavor is much more intense roasted. I can try to jump in ahead of the roasting process, thanks for the tip.

I am a steamer myself, but my wife roasts them covered in the oven.
They are much better roasted, but I wear out the steel wool cleaning it up.

Re: Annoying Trendy Sayings

Interesting how you look at things differently when you get older. One of my favorite Carlin routines was "stuff". Obviously the language was not the same, but is the substance all that different from a lecture you might have received from the nuns about materialism in the old days? His mo...

Re: Conference Champion Picks

Ivy - I think Princeton is fully back to their “pre-covid” dominance. What now? I couldve worded that better. That 2020 Princeton team was 5-0 when covid hit and was on a war path led by Michael Sowers, Chris Brown, and Connor McCarthy. Mind you Sam English and Jake Stevens were second line/rotatio...

Re: Syracuse 2024

What is the worst I read about him? He is more Stanwick, than Shellenberger. If another Stanwick were available, I would hope the Jays go all-in. So I get the slow afoot/top poles can handle him thing, but as of now he's 2nd team all-american which is about as good as it gets for a sophomore. He do...

Re: 2024 top 20

The Jays used to schedule Princeton regularly.
I think PSU / UPenn would be a good match-up. I think UPenn already plays Villanova and St. Joe's. If they add Drexel, it could be a Big 5 tournament for Commonweath bragging rights.

Re: NIL and Lacrosse

-Regarding NIL -- Pete said that he believes that schools will very soon be managing NIL programs 'in-house' rather than through programs/boosters. ND is already preparing a team to manage NIL directly so that there is a smooth transition and no unnecessary lag or prep time for when that happens. h...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

That call on Kilrain was nonsense. They never call guys who blow up picks. And they’ve been letting them play all day. Letting Hopkins play all game Letting both sides play. And that call was soft. No worse than the push call on Beohm The key to making sure the ref notices the push is how you sell ...

Re: 2024 top 20

Personally, I like the Power Rankings . I might like it even more if, instead of an arbitrary 10-goal cutoff, they used some kind of log function or Fibonacci sequence. It incorporates margin of victory and home field advantage, but does not trend. That is, an outcome in February is as significant a...
