Re: NCAA Div 1 National Championship Seedings
Maryland gets the 1 seed? 👎 Should have been BC 🦅 Nice to see Michigan get the 8 seed Stony Brook vs James Madison in the 1st round 😵. Winner to meet Maryland. Potential rematch in 2nd round--Notre Dame vs Northwestern Definitely agree about BC, but looking at the brackets, I think BC ended up the ...

Re: B1G 10 Conference Championship - Seeds, schedule and thoughts
Just saying, NU is hardly new blood. BC, Cuse — that’s new blood. In the B1G 10 winners circle, definitely new blood--and in the Terps winning circle. When was the last time Maryland lost to anyone besides UNC and BC? You have to go back a good ways to find out. Last time NU beat Maryland was 7 yea...

Re: Tewaaraton Announces 25 Nominees for 2019
As a quick aside, I love the celebrations and think they add excitement and buzz to the game. As was once said, "if you think the music is too loud you are too old"! Let the kids have their fun, if they score a big goal they deserve their moment of glory. I also loved the UNC bench's mock...

Re: Tewaaraton Announces 25 Nominees for 2019
Anyone but Maryland. I am really tired of seeing them win most all of the time. I'm a maryland fan and so disagree with the sentiment, but im also just curious how you define most all the time. Sure they've won 3 of the last 5, but its also 3 of the last 8. Yes they win all the time in the regular ...

Re: ACC Tournament - Seeds, schedule and thoughts
Question: BC scored a goal in yesterday's Cuse-BC war but it was disallowed because the gal stepped in the crease (looked as if it was after the goal too). Then, BC was given possession of the ball. What's the deal with that? Stepping in the crease costs you the goal but you get the ball back??????...

Re: ACC Tournament - Seeds, schedule and thoughts
Abbey Ngai looked lost in net today. Needlessly moving her stick way too much to make saves. Her mechanics were all out of whack. She seemed to have that 270 degree stick pivot to make saves that she could have used a fairly stationary net to snag. I'm glad they pulled her. Then there was this nast...

Re: ACC Tournament - Seeds, schedule and thoughts
Not loving BC's shot selection, shooting under .500 (10 for 26) as a team while Cuse is shooting .750

Re: ACC Tournament - Seeds, schedule and thoughts
If Kent had played last year, do you still think Tess Chandler scores 50g and Kaileen Hart has 57g & 28a?? Yes, and probably more with Kent quarterbacking the offense. That's a fair point. Still, if Kent is on the field the workload is shared, and we will never really know what that attacking u...

BC and Terps leading the way with 4 nominees each Position breakdown: 4 goalies, 3 defenders, only 5 middies, and a whopping 13 attackers Andie Aldave, Notre Dame - Soph., Midfield Samantha Apuzzo, Boston College - Sr., Attack Dempsey Arsenault, Boston College - Sr., Midfield Julia Braig, Maryland -...

Re: ACC Tournament - Seeds, schedule and thoughts
So BC v. Syracuse and UNC v. Duke...and a UNC-BC final. Semis are Friday evening. Curious why UNC didn't rest starters a bit, and instead left them in for some monster stat-padding. I hope you’re right. BC looked shaky, and I know that’s a funny thing to say about a team that won by 11, but they we...

Detwiler is the kid who absolutely frustrated and shut down Avery Shoemaker of UVA for a half, until Adams and Company decided that the faceguard wasn't necessary -- after which Shoemaker scored three times in the second half during the Hoos' surge to victory. Dont remind me   Seriously...

Re: Northwestern WAS a powerhouse
I think when Northwestern had their dominant run of championships they were doing something very unique and innovative with their style of play and the types of players they recruited. I think it took a while for other programs to either adopt some of the same elements into their game or figure out ...

Re: Games Televised and Webcasted 2019
I just noticed that Florida beat High Point only by one, 16-15. Anyone see that one? Very close, exciting game. High Point was actually up 10-8 at the half, and I think the game was tied 9 or 10 times. This was also a very physical game. I think each team had a player carded out and there were mult...

Re: Cuse v Terps
IMO this one goes to the Terps. Both teams are full of such talent that I think it may come down to having the discipline to execute fundamentals like clean ground balls (no bobbling), draw controls, and limiting turnovers. In the recent years (from my observation, at least) this is an area of the g...
