Re: NCAC 2019
Congrats to Denison's 5 AA's - Chris Broderick (LSM), Spencer Butler (Att), Sam Dyson (Def), Peter Pittroff (Att) and Jake Waxter (Mid)... Well, Denison had no 1st team All American, no 2nd team or 3rd team All American; neither did OWU, or any other NCAC school. Sure, Honorable Mention is better t...

Re: NCAC 2019
Nosy Ned This senior class was awesome and we're going to miss them. But I'm looking for the Big Red to reload next year and return to the NCAA playoffs ... After losing all the production from this year's team and stout defenders from last year's, I think next year is more about rebuilding than re...

Re: W&L 2019
“Life without 21,” certainly losing a generational player if 20 years qualifies. W&L should continue to become even more competitive going forward. I'll share an observation from an outsider. In the Denison game this year #21 injured himself (non Denison contact as I think he hurt himself divin...

Re: SALISBURY 2019
Congratulations to Salisbury on a terrific game. You guys were better, faster and stronger. Wish we had an answer last night but we didn’t. The venue is terrific, the staff was welcoming and the fans were gracious. We’ll be back ...... for another bite of the apple! Always a pleasure to face the “be...

Re: NCAC 2019
Nosy Ned Was a long ride home from Salisbury after what was a beat down plain and simple. The Big Red couldn't win a face off meaning we played way too much defense and led to the 2nd Q tsunami of goals that put it out of reach. No come back last night unfortunately. They were the better team last ...

Re: SAA 2019
Good season for Rhodes, that is a real good push. Dominating Ill Wes has to be the highlight because it was at their place. They ran into the Queen of the South Denison and played tough. Hopefully next years champ will represent as well as RHodes did this year. Not sure the boys at DU will like bei...

Re: NCAC 2019
Thought Denison would cruise their first two games and have. Things get a little tougher in the next contest where the matchups are going to be challenging. For starters, tough to beat the Gulls if you can’t do 50% on face offs. York overcame that disparity in their first meeting but not in the sec...

Re: NCAC 2019
Denison should cruise tonight, but they better take Rhodes seriously. There were some surprises in the first round, but this result is one of the biggest: not only did Rhodes beat Illinois Wesleyan in Illinois, they absolutely demolished them. I have no doubt that Caravana will have made it clear t...

Re: D3 Men NCAA Tournament
Yes, I have been to every game. If they play like they did last night, they will be in big trouble I don't disagree about needing to play better against Rhodes, but I think 19 saves by the Concordia keeper did keep the final score from being more reflective of the other game stats. Regardless, seei...

Re: NCAC 2019
The All Conference teams should be announced today! Good luck to all those in the running for this nice recognition. Lots of good players to choose from but I selfishly hope all the Denison players that deserve recognition get it .... and there are many that do. But unfortunately it is a numbers/pol...

Re: D3 Men NCAA Tournament
I'm willing to bet MrLax2U will confirm there is fight in that DU dog!!!! hahaha Greetings Ned, I'm a big fan of Coach Caravana and look forward to Big Red visiting again. (Also OWU; two terrific programs and coaches.) IWU visited Salisbury earlier this year (22-6). Big, strong, athletic, well coac...

Re: D3 Men NCAA Tournament
Indeed, perhaps I am completely wrong in my second round “upset”. Heck, maybe I’m wrong with every prediction in my bracket. (Wouldn’t be the first time) It’s also in my bracket that we’re disputing who has the honor of losing to Salisbury... I hope for a good game and have no dog in that fight. Ki...

Re: D3 Men NCAA Tournament
We can nit pick .... 1st game DU outscored OWU 12 - 5 in the second half so I don’t agree it was 1 bad quarter for OWU in game one... that game DU was down 9-4 early 3rd Q and then DU just over powered OWU. And in yesterday’s game DU never trailed after about 5 min into 2nd quarter .... that was aga...

Re: NCAA Tournament
and what about fair DENISON. How did they end up at 4 in the Regional rankings.?? Their body of work is non too impressive when one considers the comp via SOS. DeSales is 17-1, but that alone doesn't tell you much. I don;t mean to disparage these schools or their programs, but wonder how they manag...

Denison takes care of business 17-11 Congratulations to the Denison Big Red on taking care of business and beating OWU to earn another Conference Playoff Championship! And congratulations to this year's senior class. You'd be hard pressed to find a more successful class ... they have comprised a 68...

Re: NCAC 2019
Denison-OWU, Round Two on Sunday...game won't have as many students or fans there (finals) but this one is for a punched ticket to the NCAAs. Denison probably gets in either way, but for the Bishops, this is the only way. When there's a will, there's a way. OWU gets a better effort defensively for ...

Re: Pool B and Pool C
I don't care what your strength of schedule is, if you don't win some of those games all you have done is loose. That does not get you into the tournament. Especially when RIT, a loss, is the only decent ooc team that you have played. Exactly SOS helps if you win, you can’t go 0-3 against York, Den...

Re: NCAC 2019
Roy ..... you must mean #2 Butler (perhaps you got Bishops too much on the brain?). So obviously Butler is an unknown entity to you, but I'm fairly certain he's not to Plantholt and Co., considering how he's now dropped 24 goals on OWU in the 6 games he's played in this rivalry! To put that in persp...

Re: NCAC 2019
Wow. What a warrior. Decamp gets the game ball in this one. Think you need to hand out 3 game balls. #19 Decamp gets one agreed but McKeeney #50 with 17 saves and Spencer Butler #2 with 7 goals .. all in the second half both deserve one too! Great win .... DU were down 9-4 early in third and Butler...

Re: NCAC 2019
I think that we need to accept the current landscape of the NCAC. I hate to say this, but the vast majority of the games that Denison and OWU play in the NCAC not be close. A couple of years ago, it looked like Wooster, Witt or Kenyon could take a step forward and compete with the titans of the NCA...
