Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

Ross Scott over Angelus for 1st team All-B1G might be the dumbest thing I've ever seen in my entire life, and I've seen a lot of DocB and jhu06 posts. Scott (13 games): 19 G, 23 A, 42 pts (3.2 per game), 26% shooting Angelus (13 games): 22 G, 33 A, 55 pts (4.2 per game), 52% shooting When the two t...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

. Bottom line: if Hopkins makes it a 6v6 game, they win. If the offense turns the ball over and takes bad shots early in possessions, creating transition goals for the opponent and wearing down the defense, they may not. That’s Hopkins lacrosse, always has been. I think fans for this style should b...

Re: the offense, it's about winning lacrosse games. Hopkins has the best 6v6 defense in the country. Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

OK. Let’s talk about Beaudan Szuluk. He doesn’t get AA attention because he’s an “off-ball” guy (BTW this is a major flaw with AA voting, all primary “on-ball” guys though the emphasis and vulnerabilities of modern defenses have really shifted to “off-ball” defending), but he’s been one of the best ...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

Offense really misses English in a game like this, especially with a less-than-100% Melendez. Maryland is one of the few teams, like JHU, where they feel comfortable switching any defender to any dodger. English really can't be guarded by a shortie and would have made a difference.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

I think, re: Collison, the calculus is a bit different early in games vs at the end of games (especially when trailing). Obviuously, he's a guy that you can iso anytime you want, but doing it too early in games risks other guys not getting involved in the offense or on track. Peshko has a knack for ...

Big crowd, Senior Night, OSU competing hard and we just haven’t matched the effort or intensity.

This. Particularly in the defensive zone. All of those GBs are coming up OSU.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

If OSU is going to continue shorting our quickest dodger, I would run a heavy rotation of Ayers and Bauer along with Angelus in the second half. The bigger dodgers are having very little impact except for turnovers.

Gotta love QK's bit. How much internal turmoil did he have to go through to drop Duke all the way to #3?

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

Great game. Only nit from my POV was the team was playing not to lose vs playing to win (with about 2 minutes left, they stalled that possession and did not generate any type of offense) during second to last possession of regulation when they were up by 1. Milliman or Crawley I forget talked in th...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

Dylan Bauer's playmaking opened up the offense, got the D rotating and tired, gave us better looks all over the place and forced Fracyon to make saves off ball movement instead of getting to stare down iso dodges. 3 enormous game-changing assists for a player 06 wanted to bench last year Outside of...
