Re: Brown 2023
Interesting thoughts about Daly at Brown. 2023 will be the first year ever at Brown that his team did not make the ILT. This, on the heels of winning the 2022 regular season IL title, hosting the ILT, making the NCAA tourney, and hosting a first round game. And, two incoming classes that should be s...

And, welcome to the Den, Hudson!!! Also, Matteo Roturra in the house: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eR1C9IWCfdk. Midfield is shapin...

Re: Brown 2023
Brown early recruiting in first three weeks looks good. Two 4 Stars, including Goalie Tucker Williams (No. 34 IL recruit) and middie Kyle Bilello (from Dylan Molloy's St. A's alma mater) are already landed in The Den. Here is Kyle's highlight video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jJx8x0GEww. Great...

Re: Brown 2023
Well, as we look at the horizon, a few thoughts: Goalie looks to be a position of strength with The People's Goalie and Demopoulous as rising junior and sophomore, respectively. The real question, I think, is whether they will continue to see the same sorts of shots this year's defense forced throug...

Re: Ivy League 2022
Here's the IL website take. Note 2 Brown possibilities to host. Slight difference from CU77. "Below are the tiebreaker scenarios for this weekend's games: If Brown beats Dartmouth, Harvard beats Yale and Cornell beats Princeton: No. 1 Brown, No. 2 Cornell, No. 3 Harvard, No. 4 Yale If Brown be...

Re: Brown 2022
Ok. I'll say it. I love Brown this weekend. This is a gritty team, last weekend notwithstanding. These guys are tough. They will shoot much better than last week, and I expect them to play pissed but controlled. The D will be stout and I expect the Bears to run, ramping up the transition game, after...

Re: Brown 2022
No doubt the play this past SAT was uninspired, to say the least. But, I have no doubt at all that Brown CAN beat every team in the IL. The problem I saw was shooting percentage--7/46 (15%) is hideous. But, we know that the team is shooting 30% on the season. So, Brown shoots the season's average SA...

Re: Brown 2022
Really excited for the Harvard game this weekend. Should be terrific. Both teams facing off at less than 50%. Whoever is able to win the FOX battle will have an advantage. Glad Brown got to play in the rain last SAT, given the weather outlook for SAT in Cambridge. Intra-league IL lacrosse for the fi...

Re: Brown 2022
Bruno best not be heading into this Stony Brook game overconfident. Stony Brook has beaten Brown 3 of the last 4 meetings, and they are 4-1 and just took the #3 team in the country to the wire with a 1-goal loss. This is a damn good Stony Brook team. Here are three potential keys to keep your eye on...

Re: Brown 2022
The key for the Bears is not to look past Q-pac. That happened 4 or so years ago, and Q-pac took down the Bears in OT. WED and UNC are ages away. Let's go get one tomorrow, Bears!!! Ground ball by ground ball!!!

Re: Brown 2022
I think Brown is a real sleeper here. They have a chance to be great, returning guys like Enchill, Gaydos, Geppert, Aughavin, Grell, Moshyedi, etc. The thing I really want to see is how we do in cage after 8 or 9 years of AA goalie play, how the Attack clicks with a new lineup (only Cook returns fro...

Re: Brown 2022
For those who have not seen it, a season preview released yesterday: https://lacrossebucket.com/2021/12/08/dont-sleep-on-brown-in-2022/#more-32018. Pretty good observations from my perspective, but a few mistakes, most notably that since Daly was hired, Brown has only made the Ivy Tourney in 2 years...

Re: Brown 2022
Fun to see the new talent and alums out there. Great day for Brown Lacrosse. McLane and Cook both look strong at attack. Middies look big and solid, with Gendron and Moshyedi (plus Grell and Aughavin in Spring) and Pike and TYK and Wolfram at D mid. D will be a strength with Gaydos and Geppert, plus...

Great 4* pick up of Jackson Wolfram (Brunswick). Can play attack at X or run through the box. And, rides like a madman.

Re: Brown
Congratulations to the seniors on doing it "right." To Phil Goss and 3-time Captain Luke McCaleb, who put their lives on hold for an opportunity to represent Brown for one more year, we are all so sorry things did not work out the way you had hoped or envisioned. Brown will not soon forget...

Re: Brown
Really excited to see tonight's game. Will the rust of not having seen an opponent for more than 400 days be too much to overcome? Who knows--there is a LOT of talent out there for the boys from Providence. As a previous poster stated, I hope Bruno just goes out there, has a blast and plays well. An...

Re: Brown
wgsdr: You are looking at driving distance, which is 50.8 miles. As the crow flies, which is how this absurdly arbitrary 40 mile rule is measured, the distance is 39.286 miles. I agree with the sentiment expressed by many that it would be so nice for the seniors (especially McCaleb and Goss who came...

Re: Ivy League 2021
MD: Good to hear from you. I usually find your posts informative and well-reasoned. I am glad to read that you want these "guys and gals" to play this season. That is heartening. What is less heartening is your accusation (uncharacteristic of your posts in my experience) that I am "mi...

Re: Ivy League 2021
The Ivy League articulated its reasoning for why it would not commit to a Spring season 10 days ago when it issued its Spring Sports "Update." Inside Lacrosse posted the Update here: http://cdn.assets.insidelacrosse.com/docs/IvyLeagueJan21Update.pdf. The League raised two main points: (1) ...
