Re: FanLax Computer Rankings (D1 Men 2023)
Gtown has been a consensus top 5 for the last few years Georgetown was only top five last year, for the first time in decades. I also would not have them at #1, especially after seeing what Maryland did to Richmond last weekend. But it’s fun to see a different take on things once in a while, especi...

Re: New Jersey Lacrosse 2021
It would be a shame to do away with the TOC. The public schools have won more TOCs than the privates and there is every reason to believe that will continue in the future. Only two of the six groups that advance to the TOC are private. Non Public A covers the bigger schools such as Bergen Catholic, ...

Maryland will scrimmage Cornell at 3 PM on 10/10 at Delbarton. Game will be on the soccer/lacrosse field (next to baseball field) by the back gate. I haven't heard if the scrimmage is open to the public

Doubt we will see the roster updates before October. Bet Benson title gets updated then. Scrimmage against Cornell on 10/10 at Delbarton School in NJ and the Alumni golf game Is Oct 15th. No word if there is an alumni game that weekend. Hearing rumors of changes in which ACC teams that are on the s...

Khan would also be a great fit for the vacant lefty attack spot, but doubt he'd transfer in conference. [/i] Moot point since Khan chose Maryland ... Still curious ....Correct me if I'm wrong & maybe it's only applicable to the Big East -- It's my understanding that players in the Portal are no...

Re: Transfer Portal 2022
Khan is definitely up there, I’m thinking B1G, and the obvious, Rutgers, he’s from NJ. I believe also IIRC, Penn State recruited Khan. I think it was Maryland that recruited him back then. Regardless, Maryland and Penn State have been regularly scheduled opponents of Villanova over the last several...

Re: Maryland 2021
Next year, I'll be interested to see what Kyle Long does if Tillman moves him to attack and he acts as an operator behind X. He's absolutely lethal distributing the ball...so I think he has a really high ceiling too. Kyle Long is lighting fast...like one of the faster guys I've seen play...he's a v...

Re: Rutgers 2021
Why is the Rutgers thread so quiet? This is an exciting team to watch! Here's a quick Instagram clip (Villanova vs. Hopkins scrimmage Spring 2020) to get you fired up for the matchup with Hopkins tomorrow. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8IBrYLAC_g/?igshid=4rjsccxiitgx I suspect Hopkins will make an ad...

Re: Villanova 2021
Yeah, Connor Kirst :) LOL but there probably is some truth to that statement. Kirst had 3G/4A in Rutger's win over Penn State. He was involved in 7 of their 11 goals. Does Rutgers win without Kirst? Maybe, maybe not. On the flip side it was Penn State's first game in a few years without Grant Ament...

While Rutgers has been elevated to new heights during the Brian Brecht era, the Scarlet Knights' 16-year NCAA Tournament drought remains. After being extremely close in recent history, could 2021 be the year they get over that hump? https://lacrossebucket.com/2020/10/29/high-expectations-lead-rutge...

Re: NCAA DIV 1 Dead Period Extension and the Lost 2021's
2022's are all over the news. The 2021's being totally ignored after Covid. Unless 2021's parents can afford to reclassify or do an extra year PG. Tough choices for the average joe in this new Covid world. If you can afford to reclassify or do a PG year, The Hill Academy in Canada is definitely wor...

Re: Next Programs To Win It All For The First Time?
I’ve wondered about Richmond. Could they also grab some senior transfers too? ND seems like they peaked and are still very good but might’ve missed their window. I was kind of wondering about Villanova. I mean if they can win a BB title as a “small” school, why not? First step for Nova would be to ...

Dox Aitken on Booker Corrigan show said he wants to play football at nova in the fall and then come back to UVA for lacrosse. I'm....not sure this is possible. Scanning through NCAA transfer rules doesn't say anything explicitly one way or the other about it, but I've never heard of this being done...

Re: Ramifications Extra Year of Eligibility
I haven't heard of talk of cutting underperforming college players to balance the roster size. Is that a realistic possibility? Under normal circumstances, how often are non-scholarship college players cut from the team? That's why HS players need to do their homework when they are looking at schoo...
