Re: Washington College 2020
A much more narrow perspective - there are a lot of youth on the field thus far this year. That could be indicative of many things and could mean any number of things going forward. Agreed. As a dispassionate viewer who watched the game primarily to see how CNU looks, I thought WC was pretty impres...

Re: Loyola University Lacrosse 2020
Raba is very good. I post this video with some hesitation because it is the typical solo high school glory human highlight reel with almost zero assist or off ball moving, just one dude juking a defender then scoring on a hapless high school goalie. Still, you can get the sense that the kid has siz...

Re: TV & Streaming 2020
Ok... only Comcast/XFinity is available in downtown Boston... last year was great with ACC network part of that for free. This year, nope... Question: if I subscribe to ESPN+ do I get ACCN as well? I am an Xfinity subscriber in New England, and I am not able to watch ACCN on ESPN+. It's pretty disa...

York highlights vs W&L https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KlIb9-LCugU I watched those highlights - not the full game - and while I hate to single any kid out, I feel like the W&L goalie had a rough day. A lot of those goals were from distance, many without much or any obstruction of view. Perhap...

Re: NESCAC 2020
Much of the Jumbos' success this year will rest on shoulders of those who are set to replace Murphy and Connelly. Do they replace Murphy by moving Trieber from midfield to attack, or do they keep him at mid and play some combination of Adam and Samuelson, and/or an underclassman? Not sure they have...

Hodgson went 15-22, and yet York outshot W&L 49-35 and beat them 13-9. York blanked them 4-0 in the fourth.Dehuntshigwa’es wrote: ↑Sat Feb 08, 2020 4:55 pm Gritty win by York today. 25TO’s and the teams inexperience showed at times. There’s no respite, Denison is up next!
Tough day for the Generals.

Re: Roanoke 2020
I think in 2007 they faced a couple of blowouts and were really down on themselves. Pilat did a great job that year reinventing them. By the end of the year things were back to normal. Who knows about this year. There is a lot to be worked on and trying to work the coach over from the sideline neve...

Re: MAAC 2020
The MAAC Coaches poll released today, a little different than the IL one. Obviously these guys know a little more about the league. I agree that Marist is the favorite but like most years this conference is wide open. https://maacsports.com/news/2020/1/28/marist-mens-lacrosse-voted-preseason-favori...

Re: Roanoke 2020
Tough to see stuff like this before the season starts. Pilat will weed out the bad seeds and Noke will continue to be a strong program. I've seen it befor at other programs. Coaches are there for the long haul. Kids and parents with inflated senses of entitlement only last so long. Pilat has been d...

Re: Roanoke 2020
Quality players left for the 2020 season to play elsewhere. One solid player in Saro left. They tend to play Freshman, so they don't transfer. Sit Sophs so they are left with the hard choice of sticking it out 2 more years or transferring. Juniors too late to leave. Going to be a long season for Ro...

Re: Connecticut 2020
Some very early thoughts on the 2020 Connecticut CIAC lacrosse season: -Fairfield Prep loses Reale (Villanova), Grandolfo (Air Force), Rohach (Quinnipiac) and O'Connor (Middlebury), as well as Walton and Boyle (both to Vermont), and the M Kavanaugh, who was a really tough player to check, and the LS...

Re: 2020 Preason Top 20
The obvious "Yeah, but what about...?"s from Inside Lacrosse's Preseason Rankings are Notre Dame and Cornell. I am curious how ND plays with Byrne gone. From the outside, my impression was that Byrne's was doing a lot of the behind the scenes grinding for that program while it made its ri...

Re: ODAC 2020
Everyone always hypes up HSC, but they can never truly run with the top dogs. I have a theory that I don't think enough people are paying attention to. I was always under the impression that being an all-boys school would lend HSC an advantage - they should have almost twice as many boys as the oth...
