Re: FanLax Forum Poll

I was reading the IL poll and thinking how pointless it is when 6 Ivy teams are ranked and they're all 0-0. Also Hopkins winning 2 games is an automatic top 10. I'm surprised Syracuse isn't there too tbh. Are you suggesting they all drop out because they haven't played yet? Notre Dame, too? Hopkins...

Re: FanLax Forum Poll

I'm going to skip my submission this week. I don't think it makes sense (for me) to make a poll until the Ivy League starts play. I'll submit one next week. In the meantime, just some observations: UVA will probably claim the #1 spot in the "official" polls. Or will it be Notre Dame? :D H...

Re: Maryland 2023

Hilarious that you pompous bitches only scheduled 12 games, hope you don't get in. the 12 game nazis are back. you of course realize hop used to schedule the least amount of games possible during the glory years, no? fanlax is hilare. It's fair to questions schools that can schedule midweek bus tri...

Re: Maryland 2023

Very awkward play for McNaney, did not look good, a freak hustle play where you simply land wrong. Expecting worst case news there. I was sitting behind the Loyola bench, close to where McNaney went down. Not sure how much was visible on TV, but he was on the ground for a while unable to get up. Th...

Just go score. They were thinking the pressure would turn off once they found space and it doesn't. Put the ball in the net.

Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023

Freshman Minicus is starting. Rest of offensive group is Kamish, James, Higgins, Lindsey and Poitras. Pocheco needs to win at least 50% for Hounds to have a chance. Have watched offense past two weeks and they are moving the ball very well. Think they can put up double digits v MD. Defense is stron...

Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023

Hop16 can argue on Lehigh. But the point is the same. People are picking at least 3 teams to finish above Loyola in the PL. Would you or any of our other PL followers take the bet that 3 teams will finish ahead of Loyola in the PL? Just curious. Well, that seems about right, given they finished thi...

Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023

It may not be a lot, but they tried very, very hard to replace Shafer last year and basically every one they tried was…worse than him. we have some idea of the other options and they didn’t look better. obviously they could improve. But it’s a question. Savio at 54%…you can improve upon that but yo...

Re: 2023 Preseason Inside Lacrosse Media Poll

Not sure how a team that lost 63% of its goals should be #2. Right now, I think the Terps are overrated. Means nothing, but they gotta be the least proven offense in the top 10 Because they've missed two final fours since 2011. They've lose players before. They're Alabama football. Top 5 until they...

Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023

I’ve posted this in another thread: Call me slightly optimistic but I have a inkling that loyola might surprise some teams this year They lose Olmstead and lindley at attack but return a more natural QB attackman with a nice supporting cast of scorers. A very very good freshman class can possibly m...

Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023

"There’s a legitimate argument to be made that the Greyhounds will be worse than they were last year, when they finished 8-8 and outside the NCAA Tournament. In fact, they lost a one-goal game to Army in the Patriot League Semifinals after winning three straight; in 2021 (when they made it to ...

Re: Princeton versus Maryland

The first game Maryland shot 30% which is a bad day for them and Princeton shot 43% which wasn't enough to keep it close. Maryland was better at the x but Princeton got a better day from their goalie. I didn't catch the game but what I'm seeing is one that wasn't even as close as the 5 goal margin....

Re: Stop playing tournament games in football stadiums

Agree with the no football lines on the field. Lacrosse should follow the soccer model and play at smaller venues. Audi field in DC would be my choice for championship weekend. Audi would be great for a QF but the championship still sells enough tickets to justify a bigger stadium. I think trying t...

Having a couple thousand people in a 100k seat stadium for the second biggest weekend of games of the season is not growing the game it is desecrating it.

Re: 2022 D1 Selection Committe

Everyone talking about how we need to completely overhaul the selection process. I’m not going to say it’s without its flaws, but how about we need to seriously reevaluate how polling is done. People taking 10 mins to fill out a survey about teams they haven’t actually watched creates major disconn...
