Re: Villanova 2024
Nova has the same game plan every time they play Denver/GTown, and those 2 programs know what to expect with Simons high powered motion offense, 11 total shots on goal last Friday against GTown ( less then 3 shots a quarter ) maybe it is time for a different offense or offensive coordinator

Re: Brown 2024
Hey, even though it is too late for the Nova fogo Coppola now, but any updates on the NCAA complaint filed by Nova against Daly for targeting Coppola on Nova ( to knock him out of the game)

Re: Villanova 2024
How about Merrimack looking into bringing Simon Conors famous motion offense up north, 19 years on the mainline is a long time in one place

Re: Villanova 2024
Rough opener on the road for the ‘Cats, it looked like it took till the 3rd quarter for Novas young team to get their sea legs under them, let’s hope Simon Conor has an offensive trick up his sleeve, like last spring, when he found the All American Austin Fraser, who was sitting on his bench for 3 y...

Re: Villanova 2024
I was really worried that either MD or Navy we’re gonna steal Simon Conor as their new offensive coordinator, Nova is so lucky to have him for the last 17 years

Re: Villanova 2024
I just remembered a lax story from a number of years ago that sums up Villanova lacrosse, ran into Gerry Byrne at a Chaminade /Manhasset lacrosse game ( when he was still coaching at ND, GB said, that Corrado and Nova puts a starting 10 out on the field every spring that can play with any other team...

Re: Big East 2024
Just curious if there is a website that breaks down each Div 1 mens lacrosse programs as far as scholarships, so we can all see how it is not a level playing field out there & who is fully funded & who is not

Re: Villanova 2024
Exactly, so the lacrosse community felt that nova was a legit top 10 team all year. Several players are given the top honors in all of lacrosse. As many as the ultimate national champions. Then why such an epic fail at the end of the year? Did everyone get it wrong? And Nova has made it into the top...

Re: Villanova 2024
Seems to me they have the talent to compete with anyone; particularly the last 3 seasons. Always come up a day late and a dollar short at seasons end. I sort of feel that they have to be more innovative to beat teams in the conference, who all know exactly how to stop Simon Connors motion offense It...

Re: Villanova 2024
Hey D3laxfan2, I still think that Simon Conor would have been a better choice for the Manhattan top job rather then a young assistant, just my take but I guess u must know more about college lacrosse then the rest of us

Re: Villanova 2024
Be careful guys, Manhattan might be looking at Simon Conor for their HC position, he would bring all that experience, his motion offense & his Delbarton pipeline to the Jasper program

Re: Coaching Carousel 2023 - D1
Ok, with the Manhattan HC heading up to Cuse, now the Jaspers should go after Simon Conor at Nova, after 16 seasons on the main line maybe it is time for a change of scenery for Mike Corrados asst coach. He can bring his motion offense and his Delbarton pipeline to Manhattan, just throwing it out th...

Re: Villanova 2024
Maybe Nova will be playing their games over at Cabrini now, so they can move out of that old football stadium that Corrado has to share with 4 other sports teams at Nova

Re: Big East 2024
People have said that for years , Nova starting 10 every spring , can play with any program in the country, but they still only have 10 scholarships & one of the smallest rosters in Div 1, which holds back the program & USA lacrosse has Cambell, Comizio , Fraser, & Colwell, so I was not ...

I could have sworn that Austin Fraser and a close defenseman for Nova were also AA’s

Re: Big East 2024
Hey Mr. Hobart, tell me who had a better starting 10 in the Big East then Nova last spring ? And they actually had 4 AA’s on their roster ( not 2) also the whole point of these forums is to voice our opinions , u must have spent too much time up at Kappa Sig in Geneva

Re: Big East 2024
In looking back at last season in the Big East, the issue at Nova was clearly not a lack of talent, they had 4 AA’s and their starting 10 was arguably the strongest in the league, the problem was management on offense not labor , Tierney & Warne both know how to defend Simon Conors motion offens...

Re: MOUNT ST MARYS 2023
I was really hoping that MSM would have hired Simon Conor from Nova, b/c apparently his name gets brought up every off season , with his high motion offense & 16 years of experience at Nova, time for a change of scenery, other programs just don’t realize what they are missing out on with not hir...

Re: MOUNT ST MARYS 2023
That is why Simon Conor from Nova wound be a really good fit for the HC position at MSM. Simon has experience being a part, for the last 16 years with a program that was not fully funded & has one of the smallest player rosters in all of Div 1 lacrosse, change could be a good thing for Simon, wh...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2023 - D1
Well most of us cannot be all that surprised that Petro is heading down to Chapel Hill to coach jus twins, but they did lose Metzbower who was a big part of 7 natty championships & I still cannot believe that no one has snatched up Simon Conor from Nova ( with his crazy motion offense) and his D...
