Re: Coaching Carousal

Any insight on what happened to Spallone at AIC? Feel like they were just starting to get something going there. My buddy plays in the local ol' man league with Spallone. Over some beers after a game Spallone said his Assistant coach reported him to HR for creating a hostile work environment, and m...

Re: Coaching Carousal

Word is the AIC coach may have been let go. Has been absent on the sideline the last 3-4 games. I guess he was put on paid leave when they returned from spring break travels.

Re: NESCAC

Clearly no replay in Beverly - wonder if there would have been in Brunswick? Pros of instant replay: terrible refs are neutralized Cons of instant replay: everyone insufferably twirling their fingers in the air after every call that doesn't go their way Impossible decision  I thought I had hea...

Re: New programs

Has anyone heard anything about Nova or USC Aiken? Surprising a school like Nova would announce during the school year that they’re going to open a search in the spring, but then crickets. I’ve heard rumblings that Nova is going out and contacting “theirs guys” but idk how true those rumors are… Be...

I am not ready to say Hartford is 3-4 years away.
I think RWU is clear and away that next team.
And believe that Coach Gould can get them over the hump and back into the CCC Final
i dont know but RWU did not look good at Bentley on saturday. they got plastered.

Can we move on from bashing non NESCAC schools on academics from this thread. Let keep it NESCAC only. Any thoughts on nescac scrimmages? Any interesting matchups? Re: St Rose closing

I know about 10 years ago New Haven club team made a huge push to move up but it was shot down by administration. Both teams are usually well organized for a club team.\ i dont see AIC folding. There record is always in the dumps but the roster has been slowly getting a few players every year. Tough...

His wife is retiring from Williams College. I know one of the assistant coaches and he said the coach is not retiring. So not sure who leaked that info.

yes, the same coach and about 18 players are still there. Almost all freshman and sophmores. and i think 1 junior transfer. They scrimmaged AIC a few weeks ago and had a few other games lined up. I believe next year they start conference play in CCC.

Re: Fallball 2022

Any notes from the games? I caught a few of the afternoon games. St. Anselm beat up Springfield and WNEU pretty good. None of the WNEU goalies looked good at all. Very sloppy all over the place. FOGO won very few. Sloppy offense. Might be a rough year. Springfield looked Ok, similar to last year. S...

Re: Coaching Carousal

no its not an ideal situation. i also heard they have restructured the pay scale across the board for the assistant coaches with mens lax being one of them that is affected. i thought Coach Robbins did what he could with what he had. They went from having 10-12 players to 18-20 in just a few years. ...

Also poor Bates. I watched a bit of Bates-Tufts before Williams-MIT and man, Bates is really bad. Has there ever been a completely winless team in the NESCAC? Re: NESCAC

It was a frigid Tuesday evening in Massachussets, but it was heated up by some thrilling NESCAC lax! Springfield 6, Middlebury 12 This game was a bit slow at times with both teams playing lots of zone defense. Middlebury’s answer to the zone was Jack Sheehan (6g, 1a), former Founders League midfiel...
